dually camper jacks

Wondering the best way to load a small overhead camper onto the 93 dually we bought. The fenders are to wide to fit between the jacks. Is there some kind of extender made? or?
Thank You.

They make jacks that swing out to allow for dually clearance.

When I had that problem I used two pieces of 4" "C" channel 12" long and welded 1/4" plate on each end to bolt between the jack and the camper. The only prblem I saw was the mounts wanted to bend or flex some. I welded gussets in and that took care of the flexing.

Yeah im gonna go with my own extensions from 4" plate. I need another 5 inches to clear. Hope the camper dosent get swayin up on the jacks and pull the bolts out. Oh well its time for a bigger one now anyhow.

I had a monster slide in camper when I had my 93 dually I would load and unload under a large oak tree that I had a Heavy Chain hanging from one limb....it was a Mickey Mouse way of doing it but I hooked chain to the front jack pads and would lift the front with a hoist then roll the rears down and drive out from under the camper.....it worked great

Are those the ones that bolt to the frame? I ask just last month think they just didn't want to take the time.

I have never owned or used Torklift's so I can't compare them. What is it you dislike so much about happijacs?

Rattletrap1,
What's the problem with Happijac's ? I've been using the front of the bed type attachment's and box tube out the sides of my receiver for the rear.....no problem's; almost three years and also swapped the setup to a 3500 CTD from my old 2500 V-10 last year.

The camper jacks on mine can be swaped side to side and will end up with the lip faceing out which will give you about 3 more inches clearance. To stabalize the thing while loading I made several pieces of pipe with a stud in one end and a nut welded in the other end. I hook them between the camper jacks on all 4 sides and it ties everything together. It would be difficult to pull a bolt loose and the whole thing sways a lot less. I take them back off after loading and leave them home when traveling.
