Finally!!!

We are finally in our new house. After over two months of waiting on our old house to sell we finally said forget it and bought the house that we had made an offer on. We moved in last Monday and it is everything that we had hoped it would be. I feel much better having my family in a safer neighborhood and my wife feels much more comfortable while I'm gone. My daughter seems to like the hardwood floors to scoot across.

How I’m going to pay for it is another story since we still haven’t sold our old house but I have taken another job delivering trees and plants for a landscape company that I used to work for. One way or another I’ll get it done. In the mean time..... I do accept PayPal .

I hope each and every one of you and your families had a great Christmas. I know we did.

Britt

Nice place.
Things will work out.

I'm hoping to do a move sometime later in the year.
Where?......we don't know.
Just somewhere a little farther out from the DC rat race.
BTW, in case you haven't been watching the news,......the Rats are winning

Congrats Britt.
Things will work out.

But wouldn't it be easier to deliever trees and such with a CTD instead of the Prius?

Congratulations Britt! It's always nice making a step up like that. I sure hope your old place sells soon.

Nice house. I'm sure things will work out for you.

Although, it would look nicer with a big red Dodge in the driveway.

Brtt,
I've been following your story for some time now. You have a very nice place there.
Dont worry about selling your old house, things always seem to work out in the end. I wish you the best of luck with your new home.

Congratulations on the new pad. I am always happy to see other FF's on the site. I work for L.A. County...local 1014. You'll be fine in the new mortgage, and soon there'll be another Cummins in the drive. Happy New Year!

WOW that is a nice looking house ! The color combo is just right.
The only thing I see as a drawback is where are you going to build your shop?

Can you rent out your old place? Would the rent cover the payments? If values are still going up in your area might be a wise move.

Great News Britt. I was wondering about that the other day. Maybe someday you'll have a need to park a CTD in the driveway?

I may be in you boat come as you the end of next month (3/26) if things don't pick up here. My house has been on the market 83 days as of this morning. If I had done this 9 months ago It would have been GONE the first two weeks. I am moving forward as if everything is going to be fine, Home Inspection was Wed. and went well as I expected.

I am looking into some "bridge" type loans on Tuesday. Scary proposition owning two houses at once. I have a absolute last ditch plan that includes selling a rental property we have, but that would hurt my feelings.

Anyway, the market NEEDS to pick up here after the holidays.

Heres a shot of what we hope to be our next home. Three car turned garage on the right, nice paved driveway (thats a luxury round here) Way more desireable area for access to I95, little bigger than our current house and much less yard work (1.8 Acres v.s 10.3 which I hate to deal with now).
