I do not have one, I have the Cub Cadet RZT50 zero turn mower. The Exmark is a very fine unit. Theyt make a great product and they hold up very well. You will like it.

Well, I can't speak for ALL Exmark products, but we have a 1993 Turf Ranger 'out-front' style mower and I can't stand that thing. The deck has more repair welds on it than original welds. It loves to throw belts, especially if you hit something or engage the deck at anything other than an idle. And the electric clutch is held in place from spinning by a rubber strap instead of actually mounting it to something solid, so the rubber wears out about 6 times a season and lets the clutch free spin. This rips the wires out of the clutch so of course you have to replace the whole clutch. I don't think they use the best hydraulic drive motors either; while we haven't had to replace them yet, they have very little power and take a lot of power away from the mower deck if you're going up a steep hill, so everything slows down to a crawl. You sit directly over the single wheel that steers this thing, so if you're a lard butt like me, steering it is a bear! This machine only has 600 hours on it so it should be far from worn out. On the plus side, the paint has held up well!

I don't know what my next machine will be, but unless they've made a LOT of improvements since '93, it ain't gonna be an Exmark.

Have a buddy with a new Exmark mower and it seems to be quality for the price when compared to others in the market. After more repair time than mowing with my '95 Sears Tractor, I had the opportunity to pick up a '93 Scag ZTR with 1600 hours. Nice, tight machine and is very stable on my hillsides. Kind of boxy looking, but who cares. Does a good job.

we have one with a 72" deck and love it. we have had it for 3 or so years and the only thing we have had to do to it was the blades. it was a little pricey but well worth it when we mow about 6+ acres every week in just 3 yards.

I got a Husqvarna 2454 hydro 54" deck. Has 30 hrs on it and I'm liking it alot, but it doesn't compare to my Hustler Super Z 60" deck.

the Exmarks are nice

Exmark was one of the cheaper mowers. They never compared to a Scag or a couple others.. All I use now are Scag and Ferris. For a homeowner with alot of grass, Exmark is perfect. But for a commercial application where the machine has to run 8 hours a day to make money. Stay away and go with Scag or Ferris. I have a 52" Scag Tiger Cub with a 24HP V-twin Honda that'll eat through anything...

I personally dont care for Exmark. ID rather have a Scag. but I have ran a few and didnt have any problems with them. Just like the way Scags are built better.

Oh yeah Im speaking on zero turn mowers...

Ferris is another one in the running I say too

The Dixie Choppers are big down here, and cut beautifully.

Grasshoppers are pretty known around here too, but they're pretty pricey.

we run 2 exmarks on our mowing crew at work. one is 12 years old (original Kohler engine) and has over 4000 hours on it. this one has a 52 inch cut and cuts better than the newer one. the engine is losing power badly but for light cutting it does very well. We also have one that was purchased in 2004 that has a 25 hp Kawasaki. this one does not cut nearly as nice as the smaller one. but it will cut down very high grass with ease. the 04 has about 2000 hrs on it and runs like new. the most common thing to go wrong with ours is the starters. we mow a lot of smaller yards so they get started a lot during the course of a day. besides that. the smaller one has taken 1 hydraulic drive pump and the new one has also taken one. we will run them 10 hours a day with no problems.
