Empty O2 bottle
Empty O2 bottle
OK guys, the company I get my gas from does not use the 1800lb bottles anymore. I now have an extra laying around getting in the way. Thinking about making a portable air tank out of it or something but that thing is heavy. Might just donate it to someone if they need it.
If someone wants it, come get it. Don't know about the test date, but maybe could be cored or something.

Just thinking out loud (kinda slow in here today), wonder if someone with air lines in their garage/pole barn, could incorporate it for extra air capacity. If somebody painted cars or sand blasted, you might get longer duration before the compressor kicks in. Mount it between some wall studs or something. Just a thought.
I had the same thought, but there is just so much I can put in the shop until I start having trouble doing anything. 1500sf and I can JUST get my truck inside.
Time to get rid of all those "I'll need that someday" items. I wish I could get the boy and wifey to get rid of the 71 Riviera and the 49 Ford. They do make good storage devices tho

If you have any need for a CO2 bottle, the 1800 psi bottle can be revalved for CO2 use.
The company I work for was started in 1947 by a guy who bought a bunch of WWII surplus bottles. They are our CO2 bottles today, some are WWI vintage (I've seen mfr. dates as early as 1914), others are German with the swastikas squared off. Most are U.S. Army Air Corps.

Please place items such as these in the classifieds, there is even a section in there devoted to "cleanup"
. The reason we provide the classifieds for your free use is so we do not clutter up the forums which are intended for information purposes.
Thanks

OOPs, started this with the intention of finding a use for it and my daily dose of frustration shifted it in mainstream to "take it".
