Email attack from Turkey

I received this email today disguised as a legitimate letter from IRS. Naturally I did NOT click on any of the included links and I altered them a bit before posting here so none of you are affected either.

This one is SPECIFICALLY aimed at me as you can see by the wording at the bottom of the email as well. I traced the IP address back to Turkey...just one more attempt I see on a daily basis because my email address is public on this site.

Internal Revenue Service (IRS)

Hello,

Due to the system error the EIN of your company has been accidently erased from the online database, please validate your EIN to reaffirm your actual status of taxpayer. Certain indulgences will be applied to the next audit report for your company. IRS is sorry to cause inconvenience.

For detail information, please refer to:

Yeah what were these bozoz thinking?

It came in HTML format and looked like an official email, of course having dealt with IRS for far more years and far more issues than I care to admit, I KNOW they do NOT send emails like that one

If you ever happen on a wild turkey hen with a brood, you'll have a whole new understanding of the word attack.

So does ours, but I still get them regularly. I can't imagine what it would be like without the blockers.
