Almost anything would be an improvement over the dog bed in the corner she used to make you sleep on ain't it?

Funny you say that cause the dog actually sleeps on single mattress. And yes, I've slept on it before.

If walmart doesn't have it, your waiting atleast a three days to get it here. Nobody keeps stock anymore.

Evenin' all!

Back at work for another fun filled week........

Temperatures have headed south for what appears to be the long run. Hasn't been above freezing in 3 days....... About time. Now if it would start snowing so I can ride the sled that would be cool.

Lucky me I actually got seated on the grand jury for the month......

Mornin, err I guess late evening Mark.

Hate to say it, and I know it is a pain in the tail, but we need more people like you on juries. It is the only chance our legal system has...

how did your moose dress out?

I don't mind it actually. More of a logistical problem for me than anything else. 2 kids, 2 different schools nowhere near the courthouse and I'm working nights this week...... and the rent-a-cops at the front door to the court house make me want to do bad things........

I cheated and dropped it off at a processor. should be done soon. hanging weight when I dropped it off was a bit over 500lbs.

One of these days I'll get set up to do my own processing.

Morning all.

Today is Friday, October 15th.

On this day in 1860 - Grace Bedell, 11 years old, wrote a letter to presidential candidate Abraham Lincoln. The letter stated that Lincoln would look better if he would grow a beard.

1883 - The U.S. Supreme Court struck down part of the Civil Rights Act of 1875. It allowed for individuals and corporations to discriminate based on race.

1892 - The U.S. government announced that the land in the western Montana was open to settlers. The 1.8 million acres were bought from the Crow Indians for 50 cents per acre.

1946 - Hermann Goering, a **** war criminal and founder of the Gestapo, poisoned himself just hours before his scheduled execution.

1962 - The Cuban Missile Crisis began. It was on this day that U.S. intelligence personnel analyzing data discovered Soviet medium-range missle sites in Cuba. On October 22 U.S. President John F. Kennedy announced that he had ordered the naval "quarantine" of Cuba.

1966 - U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson signed a bill creating the Department of Transportation.

1983 - U.S. Marines killed five snipers who had pinned them down in Beirut International Airport.

1998 - The U.N. condemned the U.S. economic embargo on Cuba for the seventh year in a row.

Slow history day again.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?

Coffee & ph00 are ready. Be careful!

If that's cheating, I'm in trouble!!

Mornin Scott, And everyone else lurking outside the door.

For some strange reason I got the urge to clean the coffee pot. Now the sink is stopped up.

Rookie mistake I guess...

Although the inside of the sink has a very nice non-stick coating on it now. So not all bad.

The freezer here has a light in it. It's called the sun...

wow Marc, when are you supposed to sleep? yes. door guards, grrrrrr. usually they have a GJ list that let's them know you aren't there for family court...grrr
here's wishing for snow -for only you. I am not ready yet. no dogs and I can't hibernate...

practical joke on son went well,.... the next day. he said he thought he had turned off the kitchen light- then worried someone stole his tv, then had a heart attack at the site of the half mannikin on the table, wearing his jacket and cap, holding out his bday card and a pack of cupcakes. since he comes home around 1am, thankfully he did not call me. and I cleaned up his kitchen.
so after he slept, he thought it was funny. bday money might have helped.
he had a good day at work too, got promoted. bet he remembers his 22nd...

got the sleep number bed. worth the price, hurt body no more. enjoy the new bed DTR guys. even bincy with his exhaust........pipe.

Most freezers do have lights. However the laws of physics apply. Cold air is much more dense than warmer air. Therefore it slows down the speed of light so much that the light does not come on until after you have closed the door. However, if you open the door a 2nd time really really really fast, you may catch the light on. Give this a try and report back with the results.
