Today at about 1:00 one of our fearless Administrators is going in for knee surgery.

If ya'll can, lets get a big DTR prayer circle going today at 1:00 P.M. mountain time. Lets all take a second and say a prayer for MadHat.

Lets us pray that he may continue to serve us, ban us, torment us, edit us, have a quick and full recovery.

You may also want to pray a little for his wife too. She may need it more than he does!!!

Get better soon Mark!!!

Done. Don't forget to pray for guidance for the surgeons also during the procedure.

Or maybe don't pray and that will cause him more torment? Payback time? Awww shucks, that would be just too cruel. Go pray.

Just teasin'. Stay cool Mark. Do some praying for yourself and we are behind you. May seem everyday stuff, but things can happen - - so we need God's care and watching over us.

Need a prayer. My old English teacher's wife is sick with Lymes. She is progressively getting worse. As of tomorrow, she will have stopped homeschooling her kids for the first time in 4 years because she just cant do it anymore.

This man and his family will do anything for anyone and I just want to see them do better. Please pray for all of them.

Mike

Hey guys, I know that you won't recognize me as a regular here but I've been here periodically since early '04 partaking of the wisdom, knowledge, and experience shared here, unfortunately I don't think that I've ever been able to share anything that I brought to the forum.

I'm not going to bore anyone with the details but the last 9+ years have just been incredible for me, things have happened in my life that prior to this time I could never have imagined would, I always thought that people with such bad things happening in their lives were surely making their own bad luck, and perhaps they and I were.

To get to the point, when I thought things were finally going to turn around I've been faced with a financial hardship that is going to cause me to lose the home that my 13 yr old son and I share and to put it bluntly I'm almost paralyzed, unable to get my act straight and do what little I can to possibly avoid this.

I have faith, as I've seen miracles performed by God and I've prayed and prayed but the situation only seems to get worse. I'll quickly admit that I made choices which made the problem worse, thinking that I knew what I was doing and how to control the situation. It's always been extremely difficult for me to accept anything from anyone and I'm not asking for any sympathy or pity, just that some of you might pray for me that God speak to me in a way that I can hear Him because it seems like for a long time now, I have not heard from Him. I need to know that He is on my side, I know that doesn't mean that He will magically grant my wishes if He has other plans, I just need to feel His guidance and find the motivation I'm lacking to even help myself if there is anything left that can be done.

Winston Churchill said: "If you are going through hell, keep going." Those are very strong words for you. Sounds like your there, or at least close. There is always something that can be done. The worst thing is to stand frozen with fear. That is what God is for, at least in my mind. Give him your troubles, your worries and your fears and he will gladly accept them. God will not give you sympathy, nor pity. He will give you love and acceptance for your shortcomings and errors.

A house is just a house, there are millions of them across the country. If it is going to pull you under, step away. Gather your resources, square your shoulders, and start fresh. Let your hard work and gods love wash your family clean.

Financially, Dave Ramsey. Read him, learn from him and follow his teachings.

Prayers sent from here brother, make every step count.

Today is the day the Lord has made - another beginning to a new week... you alone have the power to choose whether to be happy or sad, whether the time will be wasted or worthwhile - what will you do?

After losing both my Dad & eldest stepson to cancer within the same year, I realized how thrilling it was to wake up each morning and see my own son - I figure as long as we're breathing God's air we're getting better than we deserve, and more fortunate than most to spend the day with Him.
The decade since has been the best of my life!

All things work together to glorify God, and nothing can separate us from His love, so look through & beyond the difficult situations & seasons to recognize His plan for your life.
You're either hearing God's clarion call to bend your will to His, or Satan knows you're a threat and is attempting to limit your effectiveness - often it's some of both... either way, there's great satisfaction in knowing that God is guiding you towards a happier life, and that your obedience is aggravating the devil.

Spiritual warfare recognizes no neutrality - since we're stuck in the warzone, I'd rather fight than hide... because we'll get hurt one way or another anyway.
Winning is much easier when you have a close relationship with God - that means daily taking the time to talk to Him, and learning what He has to say about everything in His word.
Remember that wisdom is found in a multitude of counselors.

You can decide to live each day so your life makes a difference, and look forward to that day when our heavenly Father says "Well done, My good and faithful son!"... what will you do?

Asking for another prayer....

Long story short, two of my friends parents have been going through an already tough separation and divorce in the last few years. Both parents were drinkers and both had equal part in the foul relationship they had. In the last couple months it has been getting progressively worse. The children are both VERY sensitive girls, whom we're raised to be the best of people.

Yesterday was the eldest daughters 20th birthday.

This evening, the father was driving his Harley, drunk, and was involved in a terrible accident. He was flown to the nearest trauma center and a few hours later died.

The family needs an immense amount of prayer power now.

The oldest daughter does not know yet as she most likely will not be able to handle it alone at college..

Thanks guys..
