I hope you realize how many good sermons you have had from the gang. Good stuff and right on. Bad things in your life make you understand life much better. As I read and understand the plan of God, He makes it pretty clear about priorities in our lives. 1) Our relationship with God - - 2) Our relationship with our family - - 3) Our relationship with others. So many times we let "stuff" get in the way of numbers 1, 2 and 3. When I had my heart attack and I am laying in my yard almost unable to move, I looked up into the clear blue Florida sky and asked God if we were changing our relationship today - - would I be coming to be with Him? Number 2, I tried to remember how good a smacker I put on my wife the morning before as I put her on the airplane - - was it a quicky or was it a good one with a sincere "I love you?" I then started praying for my kids, grandkids and friends that do not know Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Long story short - - I flat lined on the way into the hospital, had a remarkable experience during that time, and woke up in the emergency room. It was later in the day when things settled down I could reflect on what had happened. It made me quite satisfied to remember I first considered my relationship with God, next with my wife, next others. All the other stuff is just that - - STUFF. Some of it necessary, but still stuff. I remember looking back when I flat lined to see if my wife was coming too - - a voice said you are going alone, there is no one or nothing behind you. You are in the right thinking right now - - God is first, THEN, it says "all these other things will be added unto you." Concentrate on God first - - let Him beat you up good (LOL), be yeilding to what He tells you - - then you can better concentrate on "all those other things" starting with your wife and kids. I am praying for you.

VIA A friend in the Air Force in AK...... We just had a C-17 go down while practicing for this weekends air show.
I don't have any details, but we watched it go down while waiting to go
on base. Prayers for the pilots and crew please.

Please pray for this family. I was the trooper that handled this wreck, and it was a huge tragedy. Daughters watching their mom being killled, and a 6 yr old granddaughter seeing the same thing. Please hold this family in your prayers.

 

Ouch! What a tragedy to have to watch, knowing that in that split second nobody can do anything. This will leave scars for ever. My prayers for that family.
