Shorts, sorry to hear you're under the weather. I'll give you a recipe that'll have you smiling in no time. Remember how you were suppose to put the Vick's on your feet when you were sick a few days back. Well, this time after you finish applying a heavy coat of Vick's take a knitting needle or crochet hook and draw several circles on the bottoms of your feet starting at your heal and working toward your toes, then put the socks on.

Hey T favorite!! hope you are not working too hard...travel safe. no waffle house.

wonderful to see the hairy wonder and Jake! (Jake is better, he can still crawl on the ground. I would have to have money or a better incentive) awful proud of those fellas, hugs, a kiss, and continued success to them! anything youz want when in NY! appearantly Intertrashinal parts would be a good thing....glad you had no OTR breakdowns though (way 2 go Tim!) still amazed you drove that straight rig in downtown beantown, wow!

Glad to hear from Fiverbobo and keep those posts coming folks!! Always glad to hear someone else's tribunes....

Shorts, box of soft tissues to you. maybe some chicken soup DTR style....

must be on zombie schedule- dead during the day, wide awake at night. hoo boy! kitty tries to help, she brought me two mice- ten minutes apart. neither one dead. don't know how hubby sleeps through me slamming my shoe down (missing) and moving furniture around to get another whack...not a restful endeavor either....

´Morning there folks

Today is Friday, AKA the last day in the first week off work, and it looks like I don´t get all the stuff done I had planned...now that´s a surprise

Anyways, get up and get going, coffee is on and the phoo is too and I put a pile of apples on the counter, from my own garden that is, come and get it.

I´ll make no plans for today, that way it´s not gonna crash

Is it ever too early for a hot toddy???
In an hour I´ll be in my garden looking at the ISS passing by, am I the only one who sometimes just stops and go hmmmm?

I find it really amazing that man can put such a huge thing up there and it just goes round and round and round.

Where are all my peeps? It has been so quiet in here lately that I am starting to worry. Did y'all move the breakroom and not tell me? That wouldn't be very nice......

Hi Slev...I often do the same thing...I stand and watch the ISS go by and wave but have yet to see anyone wave back

What I get by looking at it is the feeling of incredible isolation they must feel even though it is still so very close in terms of the size of Space to be up there looking back at the big dummy waving

Top,
Maybe it is an age thing (I am not actually that old) but my stress relief on Friday is to come home, drink some wine and play some pool - both with DW, and have a fun dinner. Then again, we all have our systems, whatever you do for stress relief, as long as you are responsible and it isn't hurting anyone - fill y'er boots!!

Good afternoon all, it is a nasty day in the shadow of the Rockies. We are getting a dose of early winter. The temp is right around freezing, it is snowing like crazy with a strong north wind and visibility is down to about a quarter of a mile. No outside work for me today. I guess I will work on cleaning crap out of the basement instead.

whoa, sean- keep that weather please. i put my order in for sunny, calm days for october....

nice fall day here, found gumption and went out to carve on the tree carved bear some more, getting some areas close- other areas just blocked as I need to stand the tree up to cut in the back for proportion. actually had the camera with me for pics, phone call changed that. done for the day as two aunts on both Coasts are not in good situations. last ones too

went down 70 miles to sis in law yesterday, had a knock on the door- building inspector for new handicap ramp extension at the (fire safety) unused front door. gonna give them a whole new door and frame and some new landscape for the ramp instead over lawn. perfect timing, guy saw the level of handicap and will rush the city permit- awesome!! no one knew they were coming.
taking tractor down to level out existing lawn and rip out some bushes. always fun to do that in the inner city! Yo! Green Acres, waz up!!

Good evening folks, I sure am glad DW and I are staying put tonight. The temp has been hovering around freezing all day and snowing on and off (currently on). The road reports say the highways all around are horrible. It is bad enough that some fire departments are tweeting and asking people to stay home as they are so back logged that they won't be able to get to you for a long time if you get hurt in an accident. Welcome to autumn in the shadow of the Rockies.

Luckily we have enough food and wine to last for about 60 days if we get snowed in. Honestly, it isn't anywhere near that bad, there is barely any snow on the ground here, we just like to be prepared (or we are hoarders). The fact that we buy an entire steer when we buy beef and we had a great garden year, might be contributing factors too

I guess we will just have to stay inside and keep each other warm.

G'day misfits, and all sundry 'folks' that crawl around this site. It is Sunday morning on 'tuther side of the world. Just thought I would check in and say hi - not that you bunch would miss me anyway. Sorry, but did not have time to roam around and see what y'all are up too, who is sick, who has new trucks, who has done silly things or whatever.

Still here in northern China. In theory i could be here until at least the end of 2013, but this gig has got really old and may decide to go home to Paradise earlier. Going home for an extended 4 week home leave on Nov 10 and can hardly wait. Unfortunately will be back here for Christmas and the start of the real cold. Hate winter and really dislike the cold! I wanna go home where it is warm and never see snow again. Will really appreciate going back to retirement.

Keep up the good work. On second thoughts, I wonder if some of you would even recognize good work if you fell over it? On a more serious note, hope that all of you reading this have gainful employment. I know that times are getting tough.
