Evening gents, and Cincy..,
Well, the "wedding planning" has officialy entered panic phase, with one week left until D-Day....
No-one has returned the RSVP's for the dinner/reception, the brides shoes mysteriously developed a scuff on them, the groom refuses to get his hair cut until the day before( "but what if they mess it up!" she laments)
and dear old step-dad(me) refuses to get involved with the drama that isTHE BIG EVENT...
Id sooner stand in front of a frieght train than to suggest that it will work itself out... Id stand a better chance of surviving
..." You just dont understand"
Think I may leave town for a fishing trip next weekend.... they can just tell me about it when I get back!
On another note, my truck is officially MIA...... been at the shop for a trans rebuild since the 3rd weekend of April, and now they arent even returning my calls..... I think Ive been really patient, but Im beginning to get a little torqued.... Not sure how to handle this... If they are having more issues with it, I could understand, but to not even have the courtesy of returning my calls is a bit much....
I took it there because it was making a squealing noise in first gear... they did the work, but when road testing it, they said when it hit third gear, reverse was also engaging... wound up cracking the case,, had to order a new one.. coldnt find a proper one for a 93, so they used a 97 case.. then bushing, bearings, and what not had to be ordered and replaced....last I talked to anyone was 2 weeks ago when they said they thought they would have it ready in a few days.. now no word and no calls.....
How would guys handle something like this? The shop has a great reputation and has doen good work for me in the past....
