just kidding man, it's all good!

I like to play in the snow. And last year on of the guys blew the motor out of our B3030 being stupid. Diesel engines dont run very well on gas

It's -42*F this AM. No wind. Just cold.

Eye gunk is better today. The steroids are good. Still have some happy little clouds floating by but they are thinning out.

My furnace needed a minor tune up last night. Nozzle was kinda plugged and the flame sensor was kinda sooted up. The thing would run fine just wouldn't fire up on it's own. had to keep pushing the reset button to light it off. Guess I should have it tuned more often than 2-3 years......

Was this on purpose or because of another problem surfacing?

Prayers still strong here, T rad. ^^ yeah, same question. medical assistance for lungs to be on ventillator.....

ofcmarc- yeah, we forget the quiet, efficient stuff, don't we?
been there, brutal winter on the farm. electric eye sooted. tough to be young and stupid. cold? no worries. wind? no way. I have five movies for this weekend till the football game starts. 40 mph winds expected. four trailers full of split wood for the outdoor boiler.

read one alaska online newspaper that said very few folks live outside the cities, as common conception of alaska. wow. so much for independence.

Considering the shear area of the state and our low population are you really surprised? There is LOTS of wilderness out there in AK that is unpopulated.

Was just told it was to ease the stress on him, not due to respiratory failure. Better, but still not good. Thanks for the prayers!

nope, add me to the misconception of a LOT of log cabins in the forest near the river, heheh. we are visiting an ol timer about 20 miles from Talkeetna, on Gold river. I just ASSUMED a lot more folks lived like that. Just did not guess that welfare in anchorage would be sooooo popular. finding out that people come up there, try to live independently and quit.

i like the shopkeepers I have spoken with, all polite, and great attitude of you do what you need to do to live here. just so refreshing. -70 degree cold not included.

Probably not a great plan for you..... We tend to shoot the hairy things that run around up here. Wouldn't want to mistake you for a scragly old bear that some jumpy kid would want to mount on his bedroom wall.........

Still plenty of that up here. Lots of folks live outside of the major cities. No public water or sewer. Many places are off the power grid too. Places that are only a 20 minute drive. My first place after leaving my parent's home was 12 miles out of town. Had my own well, septic system and a wood stove for heat. Couldn't see my neighbors from the front porch. Only utility that was provided was electricity. No fire service. No road service. The river showed up in the driveway every break-up (spring).

I need to find a place like that where it DOESN'T get to 40 below in the winter. Or better yet, doesn't HAVE a winter!

And yes, I'm ignoring the bear comment... too many vulgar possibilities there!
