They say the first step toward recovery is admitting you have a problem.

ahhh, playing stupid in a business environment. do not do that in jail, trust me;like moths to a bug light.

if you're the vp, why are you plowing the parking lots?
if you are using a five foot plow, that kinda explains the above.
just kidding man, it's all good!

I like hearing what the temp is in Alaska. makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when it is 86% humidity, 3 degrees and 25 mile an hour winds out side.
fine crystal powder snow on top of two inches of ice. had to chip out anything i wanted to use today. Florida is looking so good right now.

Good one! Not bad for a Knew Yawka!

Morning.

Tired. Dunno why.

Today is the day after yesterday, the day before tomorrow and Friday, January 21st. We are just about at the 1/2 way point thru winter.

On this day in 1846 - The first issue of the "Daily News," edited by Charles Dickens, was published.

1853 - Dr. Russell L. Hawes patented the envelope folding machine.

1861 - The future president of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis of Mississippi, resigned from the U.S. Senate. Four other Southerners also resigned.

1865 - An oil well was drilled by torpedoes for the first time.

1915 - The first Kiwanis club was formed in Detroit, MI.

1954 - The Nautilus was launched in Groton, CT. It was the first atomic-powered submarine. U.S. First Lady Mamie Eisenhower broke the traditional bottle of champagne across the bow.

1954 - The gas turbine automobile was introduced in New York City.

1970 - The Boeing 747 made its first commercial flight from New York to London for Pan American.

1970 - ABC-TV presented "The Johnny Cash Show" in prime time.

1976 - The French Concorde SST aircraft began regular commercial service for Air France and British Airways.

1977 - U.S. President Carter pardoned almost all Vietnam War draft evaders.

1994 - A jury in Manassas, VA, acquitted Lorena Bobbitt by reason of temporary insanity of maliciously wounding her husband John. (she severed his woohoo) She accused him of sexually assaulting her.

1997 - Newt Gingrich was fined as the U.S. House of Representatvies voted for first time in history to discipline its leader for ethical misconduct.

1999 - The U.S. Coast Guard intercepted a ship headed for Houston, TX, that had over 9,500 pounds of cocaine aboard. It was one of the largest drug busts in U.S. history.

2003 - It was announced by the U.S. Census Bureau that estimates showed that the Hispanic population had passed the black population for the first time.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Why do you DELETE something on the computer, but ERASE something on paper?

Hey gang, good morning - - cloudy and slight drizzle down this way today - - we can use the moisture after all the cold - - hopefully perk things back up a bit. Sure miss my winter flowers. Thank goodness for prolific orchids.

Busy day again getting ready for the next batch of company -- present company leaves Monday. Busy busy busy. Have a good one,

(Hmm, ph00 tests good - - grabbing a cup)

Morning. Things seem to be slowing back down here. Busy morning

Heidi. Thought about Mike yesterday. Ionia State prison was in full lock-down yesterday. Had 4 guards injured during a riot the night before. Just the day before I was listening to the new commercial put out by the union asking for citizens to back the corrections officers with all the cutbacks the last few years. The guy featured on the commercial had been previously stapped in the shoulder with a 9 inch shank. Still waiting for approval of the new management in Lansing to hire OUR extra bodies and get some relief in here. 3 already tested and interviewed BEFORE the election.
