Greetings fellow DTRonians.
Glad to see everyone is STILL getting along fine.

Bobby I did have my JumboFiverDepends on and I thank you for it. At first when it arrived and the return address was yours, I was hesitant to open the box. Your heartfelt consideration was genuine and I appreciate the kind gift.
I am done with it now and the flu is no longer a problem. Check your mail.
Thanks Bobby. Real fine of you to loan me one of them things.
Postage was ten times what it said on the box you sent. It sure did feel weighted down. The double Zip Lock Freezer bag worked well too.

Dang Marc, we've got more space than that in the breakroom and when the janasquatch takes his spring bath the plumbing backs up so bad..... Well, just remember..... There's no place like home!

Here's something to make you smile.

Well, I knew this year was going too smoothly... manure spreader broke its' chain in about 8 places because the crossbars got frozen to the bed under the FULL load of manure. Now I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

Oh, and then there's the frozen water pipe at the training room.

Maybe I'll make it a complete weekend and the loader will gel up on me tomorrow too!

My manure spreader isn't big enough to fit all the manure from the breakroom.

At least I can get it inside the shop where it's a little warmer tho!

So what do I do, leave it in the stalls until Friday's? Somehow, I don't think the boarders will like that arrangement! This is the first year out of the 10 we've been boarding horses that it has frozen. It's inside so the only way it can get wet is if the roof has a new leak I don't know about yet.

we use to clean up once a day -load the spreader and take out what ever we had - even if it was 1/4 of a load

I believe I can say with reasonable certainty that the loader will not gel up on you tomorrow. If it's going to gel, it'll be tonight.

That's good thinking. Once it warms a little it'll be easier to unload so you can fix the chain.

Sorry you're having to work tomorrow too.

Wink

play the radio while you work:

"ew ew that smell!

can't you smell that SMELL? the smell that's all around me?" you can sing along.

upgrade to combine roller chain. that'll fix it.

why are you scooping poop anyway? to match Cincy plowing snow?
I better just shut up now...

gosh marc, that is smaller than our studio apartment attached to the house. but easy to clean
not so sure I'd want the river THAT close. break up? yes. any sun is appreciated.
outside to stoke the boiler and get the mail, gorgeous out. miss my dogs. kinda liked the fact that the bears are stashed away too.
I was told my .45 1911 isn't enough for hiking up there. .44 mag or rifle. kinda worried now, better check the bear areas now up there....

Auto's are not relly the guns of choice in the bush...silt does a number on them...I prefer my Ruger 44 mag with 320 gr. solid brass loads or my 45-70 with 420gr brass loads...Im not saying either one is absolutely capable of putting a brownie down but I believe that if you NEED to shoot a bear for protection, you should at least use a caliber with a chance to kill the animal or dont shoot it at all....Ive seen people carrying 9mm, 45 auto, and even smaller for bear protection and it just isnt enough in my opinion...Oh There are no non bear areas.
