I don't cook, mainly due to my theory; if a recipe calls for something to be baked/cooked at 350 degrees for one hour, then 700 degrees for half an hour oughta be just as good.

Good lookin' brownies and bread tho! Leave that stuff in the breakroom and I'll test it to make sure it's safe to eat for ya!

chaikwa.

Gravlax made from coho salmon, all done and ready to eat! Gravlax is not cooked, it is cured in sugar and salt, with dill, red onions and some good scotch whisky. Slice it thin and put on toast or crackers.

Fresh salmon packed in jars and ready for the canner. I started canning my surplus fish after loosing some really nice steelhead to freezer burn. Canning fish is so easy I wonder why I didn't start earlier.

I was going to post some smoked salmon pix but I can't find them.

here's something I made this evening for a late dinner:

Nori rolls with green onion and canned king salmon and some raw ahi sashimi on rice *****, dipped in soy sauce and wasabi. What can I say? I've been on the West coast my whole life...

Well I dont have any pics but me and a few buds sat around a fire lastnight with a few beers and steaks (which we cooked over the fire) They turned out to be Great. Never really got into the baking deal, but you give me a nice night and a case of beer and I'll burn ya up something you will never forget on the grill....

I made this yesterday - having some toast and coffee right now It is just a plain old loaf. Ingredients, nothing but King Arthur Bread flour, King Arthur whole wheat flour, water, salt. It is "naturally leavened" with a sourdough starter - still kind of new to this sourdough bread making thing. Also have a pizza dough ball "fermenting" in the fridge that'll be good to eat on Monday.
