just checking in before i pack up to head home.

not much to report from out here. haven't seen any BP oil in a few days. humidity is at about 110 percent 15 mph winds and 5 to 7 ft seas. a wonderful day to be going home.

oh i almost for got coffee is on. and donuts glazed with a little crude just the way we like them out here.

 

A gorgeous Good Morning DTR from sunny Florida. Hope all up in the "alley" are OK. Nasty storms coming thru. Stay safe - - live in the basement.

Scott, you are missing when you are here. Hey, don't feel bad, I missed it too.

Matt, hang tough, bro. And, when you get back to your brother, make yourself stay in there with him. Even if nothing is said, stay with him. You will kick yourself afterwards if you don't. I struggled with my mom, did not realize how close the end was and didn't stay with her. I have always regretted it. She was always with me when the going was tough - - I didn't have the smarts enough to realize she needed me and I was home sleeping. I am still remembering both of you in prayer. We only "visit" planet earth, we don't stay here. Make the most of being here and be ready to make the next step.

you've always be.....naw nevver mind ,where i am working currently i'm restoring an open air railcar , i'v got a name for the engine ,i'm working on one for the car , plus two covered choches so bring on the names .mornin' got to work now later

 

Usually, passenger cars had a theme name. Some named after waterfalls, some after lakes, etc. Pennsy named them after routes, such as Red Arrow, Northern Arrow. Who are they for? Where will they be used?

 

I see a yagi and it reminds me of our mobile hunts. One person hides and transmits every 3 minutes or so. We had these little handheld antennas that remind me of a yagi hanging out the window trying to isolate the direction and the signal strength - - then triangulate him on the next transmission. We had fun - - then headed to the drive in to yack. Good days.

OK, off to the Wizard. Work to do - - taking mama to a play tonight. Better get my work done or I am in doodoo.

yeah. and we have the remote! let's watch history channel or something good!

boat looking good on land. Coast guard had something going on at secondary launch. (river is low, always take a bay launch then) drove a long ways for nothing, but spent an hour finding metric number 4, machine screws for a high tech lock. while looking got to talk with the owner on a deisel repair for a four million dollar yacht at an up river port. number two cylinder on one engine (twin 16 cylinders) was flat. could be injector or cyl. wall. all elctro-synchronized firing now with rockers on the injectors even. had to remove injector to send away for testing(remove overhead cam, no rail (marine engines are bored through) special scope is 2800 dollars just to look at cyl. wall; but saved 5000 dollar tear down. some prince getting his ship back......think owner was trying to make me feel better about my repair bill.
nice weather but no progress. didn't even feel like peeking at the yacht.

enjoy fellas- hey LD- salt mines here have over 500 cars all simular, but the
engines (besides being bright orange) all have DE- names. de lusional, de lightful, de terrant ...would not have noticed that otherwise... have fun!
