Don, you on overtime? they tried to furlough 100,000 state workers here in ny one day a week. but they forgot to say that the gov's four media consultants got 20,000 raises each. smart judge granted the Court injunction.
new NY license plates are out. so ugly. gov approved them but was denied his 50 dollar a plate fee for art work. no artwork, plain yellow with a strip of navy blue at the very top. ugly. remember our gov is actually blind, and it shows.

Nice. REAL nice.
Morning all.
Today is just another lovely day on the road to paradise... I mean, today is Friday, May 14th.
On this day in 1787 - Delegates began gathering in Philadelphia for a convention to draw up the U.S. Constitution.
1940 - The Netherlands surrendered to **** Germany.
1942 - The Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC) was established by an act of the U.S. Congress.
1975 - U.S. forces raided the Cambodian island of Koh Tang and recaptured the American merchant ship Mayaguez. All 40 crew members were released safely by Cambodia. About 40 U.S. servicemen were killed in the military operation.
1999 - North Korea returned the remains of six U.S. soldiers that had been killed during the Korean War.

Mornin' All!
Started back on dayshift yesterday. Very busy. Found out we are switching Computer systems on Tuesday. No training just here it is...... Wonderful. Get to work with it in the training mode a bit before it goes live but the training side seams full of glitches. They swear they will have it all worked out by the launch.......riiiiiight.
Weather is good though.

Morning... overtime today. Heidi, no furlough this time, but "Banked Leave Time" instead. We're granted 2 hours of banked leave in lew of pay each 2 week pay period.
Rick, thanks.
Dennis, can you post link to the park again? I couldn't find the old one. I can be pretty good at name calling.
Marc welcome to the new day crew. Got you, me, and Hat on the same shift again. Feel for ya on the computer issues. One of our main systems... well never mind, I don't want to get my eye twitching.

Hey Yall
Ive been around, just busy busy busy.
Me and Worm just got back from Baton Rouge, went turn in all the stuff for my CCL. Going back to Lafayette. The old Dell laptop I had to run Tel's monogramming machine died last night. Going look for a cheap notebook for that.
Her graduation from the University of Louisiana Lafayette is tomorrow. Yippee! No more tuition.
Dr's appt yesterday went well. Still 95% sure its a boy. Everything looks well and healthy.
Leaving back for work Sunday
Be back around later.

Hey! Good on ya guys!
Blake, enjoy the weekend! see what challenges you have coming monday snicker snicker want to know if CCL pic is worse than driver's license one...
Congrats to wifey too! what a family you got goin' on!
Rog, you are married as well, right? got to have something to spend money on. and you do not talk about your truck, hehehe
red, yeah- bank days mean you cannot claim a loss on your itemized taxes. IRS has a nice little law that puts the value actually more than just time off. I with Greece, turn em all (politicians) out!
Marc frozen, how is the weight /gym stuff coming anyways? is there a particular month that you call summer? I am thinking of heading up there may 2011, to get in front of tourist season for a lot of our activities- got an opinion?
LD, yup, red yellow blue all good kiddie train colors (primary!!) heh little engine that could....my BIL has a cast off fire ladder truck in his barn that someone just wanted to scrap, on a frame and chassis of a riding law mower but stretched. car seat, full controls, etc. not enough time for me to get customizing it just yet....but it will be a blast. gopt to sell some stuff and make more room in the barn first.
not planned busy day again. split a 40 inch beech that fought every step of the way, one dog was 45 minutes, two wedges and a sledge to get it ripped apart. got the easy stuff now, so we left and did some errands, come home and mowed lawn, repaired stuff, toiled in the garden, fed the welfare birds.
'fried' baked chicken , sour cream mashed potaoes and garden salad for supper. all of you wash up, now.

Summer starts around the end of May . June and July are the hottest months and Aug starts to get rainy. September is when the leaves change and everything is astoundingly beautiful.
If you come in May, the weather won't be too bad. The leaves will be coming out the latter half of the month and temps are in the 40s at night and 60-70s during the day. There is a chance of snow or freezing temps though..... Not a bad time to come though. The tourists don't dhow until Memorial dayish......
Redleg, surfing? Web or water?
Had a nice day today, shopped some birthday presents today and packed some stuff and put it inside my car. Gonna be visiting mom tomorrow and unload all that stuff. Eat something, drive back, take a shower and got to my ex GF´s brother´s birthday party where I´ll have a bbq and some beer.
