Our dog is a Chow/Charpee(sp) mix. Found her dumped out when she was about 7-9 weeks old. Tried to find a home for her and in the mean time my niece would play with her and notice she was clumsy and fall down. She'd say, "oops". So she (the dog) got the nick name "ally oops". Hence, Ali became her name. By 9 months she knew hand signals for come, stay, sit, lay down, roll over (each way), roll on her back for a "foot check" when she came in with wet/muddy feet. She also learned to move cattle with hand signals!

I'd say find a name that your dog "earned"!

We talked about that, me and the wife, and we held the dog up and called him all the names, and they were all fitting. Turbo, he moves, gets spun up alot, Diesel, he's strong, Buckshot, his nose looks like he got shot with it, and tank, cause I know he'll be big. We'll know tonight what the decision is.

...And my wife said we couldn't name him "Dammit" because of the kids. I liked that one, too. That one REALLY fits!

How about " Wally ". That was the name of my boxer. I think Bulldogs look like Wallys.
