Discount Gasoline

I think most of us agree that there is a range in the quality of diesel fuels but what about gasoline? Is there any reason to avoid a discount station?

I had a step dad that hauled fuel for a long time. the only difference from one station to another is the less than a 1% of volume of additives that are used. all fuel comes from the same tanks, all additives come from the same tanks.

Not all gas comes from the same tanks. Some discount gas use there own or another refinery and their fuel has a short chain molacule that does not produce the BTU/ gallon of a better quality fuel. This information from a organic chemist that worked for a major oil company. FWIW
