If it was REALLY just one gallon of gasoline, and there was REALLY 26 gallons of diesel fuel, I'd say you're ok if you top if off with diesel, and add a generous amount of lubricity additive. BUT!, take my amateur opinion for what it's worth.

The old truckers used to put 10%gas in for winter mix, but back then there was a lot of sulfur in the fuel so now you also need to add a lube , diesel is a oil , gas is a solvent.

Add a quart of ND 30W oil in the tank and forget about it.

Just in case you don't know ND stands for non detergent. Very important if you decide to put in a quart or two.

Auto Zone carries the ND 30. I've had trouble finding it around here.

A lot of places keep the ND behind the counter so people don't accidently pick it up and put it in their engine. You have to ask for it. The ND Napa sells is clear.

and sulfur doesn't contribute to the lube properties of diesel at all.

The process to remove the sulphur robs the Diesel of it's lubricating properties.
