Diesel Sniffers Cafe 9/15 - 9/21
Come and get it! Coffee and donuts are up and ready. There's phoo for you who want phoo.
Morning all. Woke up at 0500, too early so closed the peepers. 0600 cramps in my left calf reopened them so I'm up now.

New Holland quoted me $600 a day for a wheeled machine. John Deere said that's about right. Bobcat quoted $725 or so for a week for a similar sized tracked machine, and about $450 for a wheeled machine. Just gotta make a 4 hour trip to pick it up and drop it off. And a week is 40 hours on the meter. Any place I've rented anything, was by the day, not by the hour.
and Jay Silverheels was Tonto
You won't find me at a football, ever. That's on the assumption that the crowd is actually as loud in the stadium as it is on the radio. You'd think that the people who broadcast NFL and college games could afford a flippin noise cancelling microphone. Heck, I've even got two CB radios with NC mics, and a spare on top of that!
By the time I get the radio turned up enough I can hear the announcers, the crowd is so loud it hurts me ears. Had to shut the Huskers (can't really call it a game, but what other term is there for it) off several times yesterday because of it.

Mornin everyone.
To answer your questions about the truck, a guy pulled out in front of me from a side road making a left turn. We met at about 45mph. He said he never saw me, he was looking the other way. I got a fractured rib and some bruises. Don't know how he fared yet. My truck is scrap metal, he couldn't have hit me in a worse spot. Took the front end off of his. Sitting in red tape limbo waiting on the police report before anything can happen, though his insurance company has contacted me.

S'new week again - - wow time flies.
Moved down into lower NC on Friday. At son's mountain home in Sapphire Valley - - really nice here. Have not spent much time around here, but sure purdy. About 3500' elevation. Golf course right below his house is a gorgeous one - - not flat like our Florida courses are. Quite a quaint locations. Recommend.
OK, off to have fun - - have a good one.

Evening to you and howdy Shorts, Rick, Martin, frmhnd and others.
Well, that's one thing going for you. They will probably try and shaft you on the truck.
Depends on how you look at it.
Wow! Awhile back we went to Seldovia to work on F-inlaws boat. Been sitting covered for over four years.
Twin 327's. One engine wouldn't even bar over. The other we never got started. A lot of controls wouldn't move.
Just sitting has got to be the worst thing you can do to a boat.
2013 - Bark dropped his toast on his foot and discovered toe jam again.
It was perfectly browned perfectly buttered perfectly covered with a thin layer of jam and landed face down on my foot.

Evening all.
Site is still s l o w. Even got a popup that said 'A script on this page is not loading correctly. Do you want to continue to attempt the script download?' Then it gave the address, (I guess), of the script and it was that loadus excalator thing again. Yup, it's my Michigan connection awright.
Got a new motor for the lawn mower a couple of weeks ago. And blew it up yesterday. Going for motor # 4.
Clutch fan in big truck still not coming on even when engine temp gets to 214 degrees. Went to Cat and they put it on their computer. Diagnosis; "That's not right".
My man van still refuses to start when it's damp or raining outside. Pounded on dashboard in frustration; it started. Maybe that's the solution for everything. If it doesn't work, hit it!

Evening Rick,
Probably be less unemployment in some areas.
Nope. I am so fat I could barely eat the jam off my foot.
Nice sunny day but didn't get anything done. Supposed to be gone by Tuesday but that may not happen if I keep getting on the comp and watching tv.

BOOOOO!!!!! Sorry but I couldn't resist it.....I'm an AGGIE and even though they blew it against the Tide I still have to root for my team!!!
Trying to get back into the DTR lineup so I'm not forgotten. Been super busy with work and school. It's all I can do to find time to sleep these days....I thought morning classes might be easier on my work schedule but now I'm doubting that theory!!!
Going to purchase a SWEET '95 3/4 ton tomorrow.....the price is just WAAAAAAAY too right not to. Everything is cherry but the driver door....needs replacing.....cheap and easy. The A/C needs a recharging as well.....again, super cheap and easy and for the asking price, I simply can't pass it up for no more than needs repairing.
Will try and chime back in tomorrow after all is said and done.
Later folks.
