Dial-up Internet Provider Questions?
Lary, thanks for the reply.Sometimes I get the feeling that noone reads my posts after I take the time to contribute constructive comments to help someone.
I signed on with Mailaka after some interrogation on my part through emails to get a feel for what I had in store if I signed on with them. The price was great but sometimes you get more than you bargained for if you know what I mean.
When I had dialup I went with Erols many years ago and was happy but their prices kept going up so when I needed another provider for a separate account in my house I chose NetZero for the price alone.Their login routine with all of the advertising and crash bang sounds you are forced to endure is revolting.I wanted to be assured that I didn't have to sit through that again so once I was convinced that that was not their style and I didn't even need their software at all the choice was clear to me.
Mailaka had a little hiccup when they moved their tech support to Texas from its location in Maine and during that transition I tried to get my brother to sign on with them but they lost him because tech support could not answer his questions in a timely manner....this after I bragged how good they were but they have always been great with me and this country needs a provider just like Mailaka is,good price AND good service. It does not get any better IMHO.Ron G

Thanks for the tip on mailaka. I'll be packing it up in florida and heading back to North Jersey in two weeks. When I get there I think I'll boot Always Off Line and give mailaka a go. No way they can be worse. Thanks again
