The organelle that was 1/1000 of a percent denser than its competitor; the cell that sought the sun a more earnestly then its competitor, the blob of tissue that was more efficient at storing energy than that which no longer exists. Millenia of success resides within me; I am the highest culmination that life and the world has ever seen! And yet I fail consistently. How does this make sense? How does this possibly occur? How is the evolution of thought beneficial when thought becomes one's own primary concern and detractor? How does thought evolve past the critical point where it consumes itself in narcissistic and arrogant introspection? How could I ever succeed in the face of so much success?

i was looking at a truck one time. i tried to crank it and the battery was dead. i told the sales lady the batter was dead to which she replied, "it's a standard. you have to press the clutch" so i said, "no (self edit)" and get out and leave. and yes i had already looked under the hood
