Darndest thing happened today

I was standing in my sons driveway today talking to Rattlinram on the phone when the muffler on my newly aquired 1992 350 4x4 fell off, hit the stones, and rolled right out from under the truck. I just can't figure that one out at all. I know the back end was busted loose from the tailpipe already but this is a puzzler for sure.

(may have had something to do with the fact that my son was lying under there with the Sawzsall and a brand new metal blade, YA THINK?)

Now all you need is a 16 cm housing on the turbo, then you can turn the fuel pin. Less than $200 and it's a different truck!

That's all, the only reason I did that is because the muffin broke loose from the rear pipe and this was the cheapest fix, three feet of pipe and two clamps. I've put over $16000 in that other truck since March so the bomb fund is dry. Plus, I like the way this one is with that auto and all. Even the cruise and the AC works.

I had this happen to me in a campground I was staying in. It was raining and the wife and I had just returned from a trip to the store. We were sitting inside the camper when we heard a loud "Clang" noise.

I knew immediately what it was, but refused to go look because all the other guys were sitting under their awnings looking around trying to figure out what that noise was

Dang muffler Had rusted out and as it was cooling off it pulled free of the system, hitting the ground.

What was that noise?

Darndest thing... my friend's American Eagle motorcoach with the C8.3 had the SAME THING happen!! **** coach is only a few years old...

He said he was pretty angry until he hit the highway, and saw a 200* drop in EGT's... so he went down to the Freightliner dealer and bought a 4" stack...

His words: "If you've straight-piped your motorhome, you might be a redneck"

I wish my muffler had just "fallen" off. I had to wrestle mine from underneath. I was literaly wrapped around that thing rolling around under the truck. Would have been a funny sight for someone>
