Re:Could Ya
Turned 16 in 1981 - guy up the street had a 73 2500 Cheby 2WD slam full of junk and broke. He told me if I cleaned it out and kept it running so I could help him haul stuff I could use it. Drove that thing into the ground, got rear-ended by a cement mixer in it, and then it eventually ended up in his brother's yard for his young-uns to finish off.

My Dad had my 74 Scout and a good trailer after that (I still have both) then my brother bought the 78 W200 (still have that in my yard, too). Without a truck I would be unable to properly perform the myriad odd-jobs I seem to keep busy doing.

Truckitis must be genetic - my Dad has a Nissan for light hauling, my little brother has my old 82 D350 SRW, my older brother has a 77 ex-military W200, I have the 78 W200, 53 IH R-112, several Scouts (Anything less is just a car), and the 96 CTD.

Need something hauled - just get one of them Smith boys - they can move anything, anywhere. ;D

Re:Could Ya
My first vehicle was an 89 ford festiva. I'm 6 2' and it didn't work out. Got the 86 silverado after that and it ate me up on gas. Then came the 96 s-10 which fell to a friend in an 85 scottsdale. It seems s-10's don't take rear impacts well. The whole time I dreamed of a CTD. So i bought the 93 Cummins and drove the wheels off of it. Just a couple of months ago it started haveing structural problems (frame/suspension). So I let her go :'( But I bought the 97 and all was well.

Cummins 4 life. And hopefully afterwards, God willing.

Re:Could Ya
Trucks SUCK!
I hate this thing cause I spend too much money on it trying to do what DC and MA cummins should've done from the start! I swore in H.S. that I'd never be so stupid as to buy anything that resembled a pickup in any way. Like I said, silly me,found out I can't play go-fast with my cars on the street, so now it's not cool to go anywhere without driving a CUMMINS powered beast! Gotta be able to get TOYS wherever they need to be and make sure you're gonna get back to the house.
