"The Cooler" August 1 - 7
Morning fellas!
Sun is shining, air is humid, coffee is boiling and the phone is ringing it's (whatever phones have) off.
Washed the beast yesterday, today if possible I'll go over the interior.
Have a nice and safe day

Morning all from soggy Mexico. The rainy season is here!!!! Boy, is it here!!! It started early this year and this week every afternoon we have had a deluge. In parts of the city about 20 minutes after the rain starts the water is over the curbs because the drains can't handle that volume of water.
Of course it just HAD to rain this week because I have a couple of laborers digging up my back yard to install new drain pipes. What a muddy mess!!
Off to meet some guys for brekkie. Need the coffee.

Finally
............FRIDAY.
Wheeeeew!! I was wondering if it was EVER gonna get here.
CooOOooOOooL temps this morning with a 10-15 breeze pushing it along.
Feels REAL nice.
This weather is supposed to continue 'til Tuesday.
Gotta go find a voltage regulator for the GG today.
It seems it doesn't appreciate me trying to start it with only 8 volts. Stator putting out 38+ AC volts so the Reg is the most likely cause.
Gotta get ready 'cuz me & Wifey are going for a ride tomorrow.
Y'all have a safe day.

Morning folks. Still in wonderful Bastrop, TX with a broke truck. Details are in the HELP section. Did one of my TOP taught hiney showing, fit throwing routines and got them moving. Will be going over and see what they found this morning since the only thing shooting today is machine gun and sniper. These folks definately operate at their own pace. Kinda bad when they only have one diesel tech.
Out of here for now. Check back in later.

Ya might consider taking the Machinegun & Sniper troops with you when you return to the dealership.
Nothing like a little motivation to speed up the process......

afternoon men....gonna try and get a river raft trip lined up for tomorrow. Do a little fishing and consuming. After all, isn't that what the $10 annual license is for??

Got all cleaned up and unsmelly.
Turned out the problem was in the electronics portion of the injector pump. Lift pump was putting out plenty of pressure and volume (min of 11 psi and ~18% above minimum specs for volume). There was some grounding issues in that the body shop either didn't put all the grounds on or the connections were covered in paint. The tech, who seemed to be the only one in the service department without a terminal case of cranialanalitis, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The P1492 code was caused by the battery temperature sensor being unplugged. The P0216 was the only other code. He said everything on the mechanical side of the pump was functioning properly but there was a lot of "noise" being generated from the electronics side. Don't really know, but I'm gonna look at all the info I can find on that type pump.
IF the pump comes in in the morning, I should be rolling by noon. All is covered by warranty.
It's been a long week.
Now to start looking for jeep parts. Anyone know where I can find a F-head engine for a M-38 or CJ-5? 1956 model. A rebuildable block and crank will also work.
Cumminsboy dropped by and checked on me. Didn't stay long due to female on his mind situation. Knew it was him before I saw him. Straight piped, turbo singing, and grinning like a possum eating you know what. Thanks for stopping and checking.
Outa here till morning.

Morning, coffee has been accomplished, working on the nutty donut holes. District Chaplain doing his ride-along today delivered an extra sausage mcmuffin, should be set for a bit.
