ANYONE ?

Everything else aside.

How can folks overlook the selling of this country? The country is buried in debt . our jobs are being exported faster now than ever. We are allowing staggering trade deficiets .
This is certainly not a condition we can blame this administration for in whole, but it has progressed steadily if not at a more aggressive rate in the past 5 years.
And with a republican majority in the house, senate and white house this administration has had the strength given to them to enable them to make a difference in this trend and they certainly have not taken advantage of it.
Democrats can't be blamed for anything that has went wrong over the last five years as they can't out vote the party in power. Going to be difficult to blame someone else for the error of their ways next time around.

LMFAO!!!!

Actually my friend, I'm an INDEPENDENT. I prefer to think for MYSELF and make up my OWN mind on issues.

FYI there are ALOT more of Democrat/Indepenent Yankees AND Rebels than you think. You seem to forget were Georgie "won" the last election. There is almost a 50/50 split in this country of Republicans -Vs- Democrat/Independents.

I hate to admit but when I was a young pup, I actually claimed to be a Republican "sheep" myself !! I "thought"...my daddy was a Republican, his daddy was a Republican and his daddy's daddy was a Republican so I "SHOULD" be a Republican too!! Boy was THAT thinking ignorant or what !
Also the Republican Party is NOT the only party to have folks of the CHRISTIAN faith in it as the Republican Leadership would have you believe.

I support the Republican's War on terror (but NOT the invasion of Iraq), I also disagree strongly with the Republican's Economic/Social policies that only hurt the POOR and elderly in this country.

Ole Georgie is REALLY helping OUR cause with his 34% Job Approval Rating. My neighbor (Go Bucks) will find that FACT very easily ANYWHERE.

I find it extremely difficult to believe anyone that makes LESS than $100,000/year and have friends, relatives on fixed incomes would even consider supporting the Republican Party. The ignorance blows my mind!

I guarantee if you ask folks around you what the Fundamental differences are between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party that the MAJORITY will NOT KNOW!

I challenge each and every one of you RIGHT now to start asking folks you come into contact with everyday this question. What are the fundamental differences between Republicans and Democrats ??

Do you yourself know why you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent OR other Political affiliation ??

Here's a good guide to see where your views my fall.

condi for VP, now that the thread is back on track. lets get to the argument, the problem we have right now is a bunch of no back bone republicans voting like liberal democrats[spending money like drunk sailors]. why do people think i owe them a living, heath care, shelter, food, where does it end. i owe no one anything, i have a wife and 3 kids that are my responsibility. i will take car of my mother or my inlaws if they need help. i do not expect the goverment to do it for me. most democrat voters are in a dream world where they think all of this is owed to them.
they need to get off there butts and earn a living and take care of there family. pretty simple stuff but many will not comprehend it at all.

i was raised democrat and voted that way till i grew up at 26 or so.

and for the bush haters, there is nothing any one can say that will change your minds, so why type it. and for the independents, what a joke. not enough back bone to state your place till you see a majority to join in with??

i am far from polictly correct, i think the whole world need a serious case of darwinism. the human race is the only one on the planet that promotes the weak.

Just an FYI on that one, usually darwinism is frowned upon by the religous right, it's similar to witchcraft. Common sense and logic means very little to people with un-shakable blind faith.

no i am afraid i have gotten that cold hearted in my older age. i will help anyone that will help themselfs. as far as the rest of them go they can starve to death if they wish. i have been conned by so many people that i am just sick of it. they talk the talk but they won't walk the walk. my kid brother has been leaching off my mother for the last 15 years, it is pathetic. and i have seen so many others that it just makes me sick. they know how to get the free food, rent and other hand outs. they play on peoples hearts and on the curches for all they are worth. my wife worked on the adopt a angle this past christmas. what a eye opener that was, people didn't have the money for presents for there kids but they had plenty of money for the dope they were doing. crank ho's showed up dragging 3 kids around trying to get everything they could for free. i just had to leave before i said something that would have hurt their little feeling.

No, don't be like that. I can tell you that many times we all feel like that, and that there truly are many, too many undeserving people out there, but ther sure are a lot of just plain unfortunate ones too. They do deserve the help that we can give them. With a little clear thinking we can all make out the differnce, I hope you will to when you can.

Now as for Condi (back on track) see my other post 'A woman for Prez.'

To start with if you will read the data they provide for the 34% number you will see they polled 2 to 1 democrats.
The reason most of the people I come in contact with why they are republican is that their convictions won't let them vote democrat. The problem democrats have with religion is it's hard to believe in the Bible and support abortion. The main difference I find between dems and repubs is that democrats vote with their wallet and republicans vote their convictions which pretty much takes the "independents" out of the republican side because obviously they have no convictions. I would guess that over 90% of southern republicans used to be democrats before the democrats left them for the far left wackos. Most of the southern democrats we do have would not vote democrat if they actually looked at the issues and where the dems stand on them they are locked in to the Roosevelt times and haven't looked to see that the democratic part is not what it used to be. I for you being an "independent" I'm having a hard time believing it.

Before you pass judgement on these folksm try studying the Social issues that KEEP most of these people in these positions.

Example: How's a single mother with (2) kids , working 35hrs/week at Walmarts (with NO BENEFITS) making $5.25/hr supposed to live ??

Do the Math. Get your own Budget out and plug in the #s.

NOW you'll see for yourself that the #s don't add up.
