Have you ever noticed all of O Reilys Polls lean towards the right (much the same as his viewers)

Ever noticed Limbaughs callers seem to side with his right wing retoric (much the same as his listners)

Gore won that election and it is universally beleived by unbiased people.
Herb the studies were done by The Florida Times-Union and The Miami Herald
and The Palm Beach Post. This is what we call FACTS, not rhetoric as you seem to embrace.

That is what righties call FACTS , I would imagine those same publications endorsed GW and Jeb.

It would be the same as a lefty trying to convince you that something published by a left wing publication was FACT

The Palm Beach Post? The Florida Times-Union? The Miami Herald? Am I missing something? Are these ultra-biased news outlets? No, seriously, I am asking because I don't know...

Well, at least we can all agree you were wrong on this account:

Herald Endorses Bush v. Gore
The Miami Herald, which endorsed Al Gore for president last year, now endorses the Bush v. Gore decision, which stopped Florida's re-re-recounting. The Herald's own re-re-recount of ballots, conducted with USA Today, validates the U.S. Supreme Court's controversial decision to step in and stop what was sure to be a chaotic recount because Florida didn't have a uniform standard in place," declares today's Herald editorial.

Yes, the political architecture is decidedly right-wing and dominated by Southern Baptist religious-politicians. The SBC itself looms as a power in the city. The local newspaper, the Florida Times-Union, is *decidedly* conservative

GoBucks,
I was starting to think I liked you I find it interesting you use the term "Vocal Minority", as if there is not a vocal majority soon to be minority??

I don't follow. Cheneys a dope, just another Rich politician we have all put on some unfounded high ground and now you're a jerk if you question his ability or knowledge,

Just the way the "right" likes it, Shut up and wait to be told who is the next greatest public figure to worship.
Come on, PJ, I thought we were getting to be buddies...

Cheney is most definitely not a dope. As I said, the guy has an unparalleled knowledge of policy and history as it relates to US and foreign policy. Any time you have seen him in the hot seat he has been able to put that on display. You may not have agreed with his decisions or his support of certain decisions. But, he is most definitely not a dope. Most notably, by nearly every account, he made John Edwards look like a snot-nosed little punk in the VP debate. Bush did not do a very good job if you remember correctly, but Cheney hit it out of the park. I have had the opportunity to see him speak on several occasions and am always amazed by the man's depth of knowledge.

No one is telling you to shut up or worship anyone. I certainly don't worship Bush or Cheney, and (if I have to say this one more time I am going to ) I don't agree with everything they say or do. But, I will definitely not question their intelligence, just as I wouldn't question yours or Herb's for thinking differently.

Everything else aside.

How can folks overlook the selling of this country? The country is buried in debt . our jobs are being exported faster now than ever. We are allowing staggering trade deficiets .
This is certainly not a condition we can blame this administration for in whole, but it has progressed steadily if not at a more aggressive rate in the past 5 years.
And with a republican majority in the house, senate and white house this administration has had the strength given to them to enable them to make a difference in this trend and they certainly have not taken advantage of it.
Democrats can't be blamed for anything that has went wrong over the last five years as they can't out vote the party in power. Going to be difficult to blame someone else for the error of their ways next time around.

We're gonna be just fine, The Republicans are in the majority in a big way here. I would guess it's about 70% a conservative membership. 20 of the 30% go with the flow to make Lary and Jack happy.

I've looked everywhere for some credible source to confirm this, including on CNN' website (I can't believe I just used CNN and credible in the same sentence). I can't find anything about it. I'm not saying you didn't hear it on an interview, but at this point I can only assume it was some pea-brained talking head or one of those weasels that run a blog that said it; nobody with any authority or it would have been picked up by at least the AP.

I don't think that would be wise for a couple of reasons. Having the office holder step down before the end of their term and appointing someone to run as an incumbent works for almost any other race; but, the presidency is different. First, any endorsed presidential candidate from either party has unbelievable resources at their disposal, so it is not as important to try such antics to gain an advantage. How many people really knew about the little governor from Arkansas before he went on to win two terms?

Secondly, the next Republican candidate for the presidency will have to work pretty hard to put him/herself a safe distance away from this administration. Like it or not, for reasons real or perceived the President's poll numbers are in the crapper. You don't want the next candidate to give the impression that there will be a continuation of this administration. As has been debated here and on other threads, I agree with a majority of this administration's decisions; but, the American public has a short attention span and their ready for new blood.
