Clean Car Forum need to change, need suggestions....

Well since CCF was a big flop, and it's just sitting out there doing nothing, I have been thinking about changing that forum to something else. Since I have it out there and it doesn't cost anything, may as well do something with it.

I'm curious what you guys think. What could we make this thing in to? Ford or Chevy truck forum? Something else? Let me know your thoughts. There has to be some kind of niche out there to bring traffic to it. Obviously the CCF thing didn't work so well.

www.cleancarforum.com is the domain. It's got a nice forum but barely any users after being up for about 8 months. What can we do to this thing folks? Help me out here...

How bout a Dodge Forum ?? Challenger Charger Viper SRT models including Jeep ETC ETC
There are SO many vehicles from Dodge which have a large amount of follows.
Most are not diesels. :-)

IMO most guys on forum message boards are there to learn and to mod. How many people mod clean cars ??
They may mod to GET clean, but then that's it.

I think you're right when you say that most people aren't going to want to mod their hybrid. Mainly for the fear of being electrocuted!

Keep the suggestions coming. Once I have some more good ones, I'll post them as a poll and see where we go from there.

Another Idea.... Maybe. Don't know how labor intensive it might be for ya though.
Something like "Find a reputable contractor in your area" site. If you got it up and goin good, you could charge contractors a yearly fee to have their info out there. BUT you would at minimum need to verify insurance and such to establish a trustworthy status among homeowners.
I've got alot of ideas for this one:-)
Just another thought.

I also like the idea of a Dodge non diesel forum. There could be sections for antiques, classic muscle cars, new muscle cars, etc.

When I saw the thread title, I immediately thought about threads like this and this and thought you were maybe working on a forum for our OCD members.

Back on topic, as I think about other non-DTR forums that I'd frequent, the first one that comes to mind would be a survival/off-grid living forum. You might look statistically at what topics come up most frequently in the Other section of DTR and look at that as a topic database as well.

A good Yugo Forum please!
No seriously A Mopar forum may be good but many of us here would not own a Dodge with out a Cummins so it may be a limited group.

I think that a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep forum would be a good idea. My wife has a Chrysler 300C(she loves it), so I would visit the forum. There are other forums out there for these cars, but the "quality" of the discussions on these forums isn't very good. I don't care if 24's will fit on a 300C.

Chainsaws?

Actually, I like the ideas that include jeep. Most of the Jeep/Offroad forums are full of potty-mouthed, teeny boppers.

So far the consensus seems to be a general mopar forum. Might not be a bad idea. I know there are some of them out there now but I don't know how big they are or what kind of following they have.
