I knew the Merc thing wouldn't work when they did it. It's two totally different cultures. If China gets it, we're in trouble I fear. I heard Kerkorian may have put up a bid. It would be a shame in my personal opinion to let a foreign country buy one of the biggest names in the country but hey, that's just my opinion. Be a bad day for the workers and the economy.

Shanghai - China First Automobile Works (FAW), China's biggest auto maker, is interested in buying the money loosing Chrysler Group from DaimlerChrysler AG. Representatives from FAW are already in the U.S. for discussions with Chrysler, sources say, according to the Oriental Morning Post in Shanghai on Tuesday. The offered prices has not been disclosed, but speculations hoover between four and five bullion US dollar.

What's "bullion US dollar"?

Hopefully china is out of the running now, I think it would be a very bad thing if they bought them
