Chili

Who all like to make up a batch of Chili? I just got done getting my first batch in the crockpot. Lots of spice, and jalapenos. I'll let you guys and gals know how it turns out tomorrow after I eat it tomorrow's NFL season opener.

Hold up a little on those jalapenos (or pull the seeds) and I will be there.

I make a good chili from scratch (or so I've been told). I use ground beef and steak. Bell peppers, garlic, chives, beans. Sometimes I used diced tomatoes, and hot peppers (depends on who will be eating it).

I have a couple ways to make it. I use steak or ground beef in one, the other uses ground venison. Depending how I feel I use jalapenos or green chillis, lots of beans, some stewed tomatoes, chopped onion garlic and celery, beer, and a bunch of spices for flavor. I don't make it the same everytime, I usually throw in what i have at the time.

Just ate my first bowl of my first batch of chili. WOW, it is good. It has a good kick but it doesn't make your mouth burn for hours.
Made it with ground beef and bison. Threw in onions jalapeno's with the seeds, good amount of beans, and stewed tomatos. It has a lot of flavor from the spices I added. I thought it was going to turn out watery but I took the top runny layer off put it in the freezer until it was cold then threw some flower in, then mixed it back in. That was the touch it needed.

I think next time I'll try some steak. I think that would top it off.

It all sounds great. Made me hungry but I had to settle for canned. Not at all the same.
