Sad day indeed.. I grew up listening to Jerry Reed on 8 track in my dads rig...

 

I have been looking for the sound track for the Smokey and The Bandit on 8 track....The guys in the firebird club go nuts over finding that tape.

 

Sad for sure.

Heck, I even named one of the dogs Fred. Not a Basset Hound, but you get the point. One of my favorite scenes is Cledus "Snowman" Snow having to fetch Fred out of the pond after he goes for a swim. I still get a kick out of watching those two in the cab of that Kenworth!

OMG, DON'T YA KNOW IT!!! Sad day indeed, grew up watching and have all three movies, but like most movies the other 2 don't touch the orginal... RIP SNOWMAN, Drifters out...

 

It IS a sad day when Jerry Reed (Hubbard) will be remembered for his movies instead of his music.He WAS a genius and a major contributor to the industry and the guitar artistry that changed much of what we listen to today.Ron G
