Center axle nut cover on 03 Durango.

It seems that someone needed the Ram emblem on the drivers side front wheel more that we did. This is the 2.5” cover over the center axle nut on the alloy wheels. Is there any harm in driving it for a few days until I can get a new cover or should I head to the dealer first thing in the AM, lots of sloppy roads lately. I looked inside and there doesn’t appear to be any bearings visible or the like, it’s just a castle nut, cotter pin and cap. No grease anywhere close I could see.

Thanks.

Bill.

There are a couple of Durangos at work, and at least a couple of the little center things are missing. I think they fell out...

Anyhow, I could be wrong, but from the looks of it I think it is just a cosmetic cover, like the center cap on a 3rd gen ram, except that it only plugs the center hole in the wheel instead of covering the lug nuts...

Covers

They do fall and break off. Dad lost one in New York. Hit a huge bump, slamed on the brakes and I see a chrome cover go by my truck. Once I was done laughing I got out and saw it was broke so i tossed it. You can get them from dodge, but do a search. E-bay, and like Hubcapusa or something has them for cheep.
