The solution is surgery. Its a situation where they have to do the repair the same way as a complete rupture. Otherwise its just going to snap completely anyway.
I tried the physio, ultra sound, massage, accupuncture etc etc over the past several years and it keeps getting worse.

Get it fixed now or endure the discomfort and deal with it when it ruptures completely. Sooner the better.

Good thing I can deal with most everything with either hand.

On the sunnier side of the news...I have all the walls insulated [R-20] and vapor barriered in the garage. Ceiling has the vapor barrier on and will get R-52 blown in on the Sept long wknd.

They told me the same thing. I kept it warm all winter and didn't use it too much and it's been fine. Go figure. I've been throwing around allot of weight with that arm and so far so good.

But I wait for the preverbial shoe to drop

Get it fixed yo. The sooner you get nerves and muscles and everything working right again the better. Believe me.

Rats. So its not something they can do with a small hole and a camera. Means a lot of recovery time.

Yeah, I could have fixed it cheap, and I really considered it until I looked up the price of the gasket. I just couldn't do it half way for that price.

I cannot twist my forearm more then about 30 degrees nor can I hold anything over 25 pounds without losing my grip. Its getting fixed.

Oh, yeah no doubt, thats what I said and so did the doc. I have been down this path a few too many times. This must be expedited.

It was 9 months from the surgery date before I could go full out with my left arm. I was good with normal tasks about 60 days out and no weights over 25 pounds til about 90 days. I was impressed when I was able to go heavier then I ever had before when 9 months rolled around. The doc told me I would probably find it to be stronger and all the other guys in strongman that have had this injury have had the same results. So its a positive that I should see with the repair. I know not all surgeries are successful. However, this surgeon has worked wonders for me.

Its a long recovery for this kind or repair.

I was OK with the turning, but as you said, the grip was killed.

Doc said with the arm wrapped and I would splint it at night, it just kind fo grew back together. It's not right, but it's strong and stable.

But yourd may be worse

Face facts!! The only reason they didnt do surgery on you is because at your age its not worth the bother. Its easier and more humane to just put you down.
