Didn't get one trick or treater last night. No young kids in the territory I'm guessing. winters have been to mild the last few years Now I have to eat all the goodies myself. I"ll be eating candy bars till Valentines day. Good reason to keep working out.

Time to make some chow, hotcakes, eggs and ham sounds good this AM. Homemade black currant jam for the toast MMMMM. Can't forget a pot of the good stuff to wash it all down.

Went to the Dr yesterday, found out I got bronchitis. Got a 'script for some horse pills I gotta take for a week.
He says, "If you don't feel better in a week, come back and we'll try something better."
Why can't I just get the better stuff NOW? Then I wouldn't have to be miserable for another week before I start to feel better. And you should see the directions for these things; "Take one tablet, 3 times a day" Have any of you tried cutting up a pill into 3 pieces? What a pain! Why don't they just make the tablets smaller in the first place so I could take 3 in a day without havin' to cut 'em up? I swear, the more edjacashun a person gets, the stoopider they gets!

well we DO live in the middle of nowhere, so no trick or treaters expected....
went down to the village four miles away for an errand, decided to hit a favorite small town restaurant ( I get my own menu and clear the dishes to the kitchen). After a great meal- we get halted in the parking lot - Halloween parade. sit there in the dodge and watch all the happy kiddos, parents and the best homemade costumes ever! about a thousand strong! nice end to the night AND we get to go back up the mountain, ahhhh quiet.

hunter thing was polite, over the phone. they lost an eight point, hehehehe-
first- I doubt that but they did call me about four times- so maybe a bit of the truth. second, I might toss up the horse fence just to slow them down.
on the lower end, will try to spray paint the marks some one else left. tree tractor is down waiting on new injectors, that would be nice to photograph, I have no clue who did that . neighbor does have a camera I am sure I coudl borrow, but take the chance someone will return- no incentive now. ahhhh
shoot shovel and shut up is what the do in Nevada.......3 million to look for Steve Fossett and no luck- wow tough terrain....

MMmmmmmmm coffee is good this morning, not sure what the chunks are in it though Oh well it hasn't eaten it,s way out of the carafe yet, so an old cast iron stomach like mine should handle it OK.

I called the people at Human Resources and they told me that our insurance does not cover the Janitors medications....According to them our medical insurance is only good 2 days a month and they won't disclose which two days they are....

No trick or treaters again this year, I even took down the "Danger land Mines" signs but apparently they have a long memory. I guess I will have to eat these Snicker bars by myself

Don't know if we're that far behind Claude but we'll change time this weekend. Fall back one hour. Messes up the whole natural order of things, never mind the TV schedule.

Flu shot must have helped a little. Feeling pretty good today, just a bit of a dry cough.

Horses, dog and cats fed. Time to get at it, suppose to get some high winds today, so will have to check fence line later.

Picking up a Grand Cherokee tomorrow. WJ, not a BRAND new one. Gave up the ship on the S10. They gave what I had into it sight unseen. I got a few toys this summer I wouldn't have without it, can't complain too much. Scott, I did get the bumpers off it.

Cluade, I've looked and looked, still no tool box. I even dragged the road again to level it and didn't find it anywhwere. Start on the ZJ yet? Let me know when you need to fit it, now that I'm not doing so much of my own maintenance now. ALso, still waiting on my brook trout. I have a piece of hickory left that Scott gave me. OK, coffee's getting cold...

70's and sunny in Houston.
Had lot of trick or treaters last night, some of the parents were also in costume. Still have a bunch of treats left, and I get what the kidletts don't like.
Halloween tradition, kept alive, watched "Young Frankinstein" last night.
Just learned that my wifes best friend passed away last night, she will be missed, was living in Tennesse.

Hat, your gonna get bored with the easy life.

Chaikwa, hope you get over the crud soon. Your will usually cure anything. . Maybe your croaker gave you a Rx that you have to cut the pills to save you $$$$ and pill cutters are cheap, side cutters don't work to well.

Wannabe, are you going to set up a fence partroll to keep the trespassers out?

A dreary good morning to all - - Dean is racing up along the east coast and dumping lots of clouds along the good side of Florida, that being the left coast. Not much rain in them, just dreary. Be glad when he is gone - - we have had clouds for the better part of two weeks - - very unusual for here. No wonder my Seattle son gets grouchy in the winter.

Sorry to hear about your "gothcha's" Scott - - not fun. Be good for once, drink some of your coffee - - that stuff will cure anything one way or another - - it is doesn't cure you it will kill ya.
