Good morning to the folks on the late sleeping side of the pond!

Been working on a 12V in a wood processor on Friday, got a little late. But installing Texel 22hp injectors on a 160hp calibrated B is fun. Especially since now the processor can't lug the engine down anymore. since the turbo is shot (8500 hours, air filter hose wasn't too tight) I'm contemplating going for a hybrid on that machine. The altitude it operates on is usually above 3500 ft, so a bit more air would be nice.) Lag ain't that important because it is running at least 2k rpm while working - so it has to spool only about once or twice a day.

Next thing to repair is a 1977 Timberjack with a 3 cyl Detroit- owner complains about low power. It ain't lack of fuel since you can black out a small valley going WOT... But it's fun to test drive and see whether the drivers of the econoboxes have some sense in their heads. I'll try to take some pics when I'm there the next time.

A lot of coffee in my veins, had a short night and now it's peppermint tea time.... I consider making a little larger batches than the usual quart that will only evaporate within minutes in my presence...

Let's contemplate resurrecting the cookie threads (or the alcoholic assault threads) that seem to be lost in the old databases... pre 2004 board.

GOOD MORNING DTRONIANS!!!!!!
Back in the land of trees and humidity. 1250+ miles in 19 hours. Not bad considering the wadded up mess getting around Ft. Worth/Dallas area. Do all Texans consider the right hand shoulder to be a passing lane?
Good trip. It's amazing what info you can get when you get ALL parties to sit down and talk about each of their capabilities and then have them realize that all these capabilities can be integrated together with minimal trouble. "Well, we just ASSUMED that Air Force stuff wouldn't work with Army stuff which wouldn't work with other stuff." Guess the " ignorance can be cured, stupid is forever" still applies.
Whittled on some trees in the creek area yesterday. Back is just a bit sore but we got about a cord and a half cut up and a bit more of the creek area cleared.
Coffee's on. Eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, fried taters, and cat head bisquits will be ready in about 15 minutes.
Come and get it.

FROSTY,SINCE YOUR ON ENGINEER ON OIL FIELDS ,AND YOU ANSWER THIS QUESTION,
WHY COULDN`T THE GAS THAT IS BURNED OFF,(UNDERSTAND ITS POISONOUS) BE USED TO RUN A GENERATOR AND THEN BURN OFF THE EXCESS ?, BEEN PONDERING THIS QUESTION FOR YEARS, IF IT BURNS ,IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO BE BURNED IN AN ENGINE AND AT LEAST RECOOP SOMETHING FROM IT.

Don't make any pit stops at Reed City. The burn-off has been pretty rank lately. If they don't burn it up, how are they gonna keep the prices up?

You can start on that axle if you want, I need to tinker on the blazer. If the jeep falls on you, I'll need to push you across the property line before I call for help... nothing personal....

In some cases it is.

Depending on the field/location/drilling company, there is some new technologies that are starting to take off that will allow the gas that was traditionally flared to be cleaned, stored, and used later.
In some cases, there is only a very small amount of gas that is produced and the equipment to capture this gas cost more to operate than the gas that is captured.
In other cases, the gas that is flared was not expected and the formation wont allow shutting down and waiting on the equipment to capture the gas.
Then you have locations in certain areas of the world that dont care. they would just as soon burn it off at the wellsite as burn it off at the refinery.

Morning from the ol' Missouri homestead .

Just got back from the morning romp up the dirt road (2.25 miles). Did it on the bike on Friday, ran it Saturday and did a 50lb. ruck hike today. Gotta love this beautiful fall weather !!

Shortround ... glad to hear that you are reigning them goobs into the same pen. Can't be an easy task ... considering the audience . I'll give you a ring after morning chow !!

Tried putting the boys to work on some fence mending yesterday ... too many cool spiders and stuff to examine instead of stringing barbed wire. Kinda hoped that they would get out of that stage after 17 years hehehehe.
(I was right next to them checking the things out too ).

Y'all have a great weekend and we'll see yun's on Monday.

Cheers,
PISTOL
