Got wash the 5th wheel today wife wants to go down to Lake Buchanan and see the eagles.
So I’m taking next Friday off and we will take a boat ride around the lake.
But the camper is in need of a cleaning so its work before play.

The breakrooms have been getting awfully quiet the last few months and I checked out the 'Help' forum today and I noticed that it has been a long time since someone has come to us when really in need. I am not sure why but I hope we can return this site to where it was in terms of traffic a year ago soon.

Sunday, February 17th.
1801 - The U.S. House of Representatives broke an electoral tie between Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr. Jefferson was elected president and Burr became vice president.
1817 - The first gaslit streetlights appeared on the streets of Baltimore, MD.
1865 - Columbia, SC, burned. The Confederates were evacuating and the Union Forces were moving in.
1876 - Julius Wolff was credited with being the first to can sardines.
1878 - In San Francisco, CA, the first large city telephone exchange opened. It had only 18 phones.
1944 - During World War II, the Battle of Eniwetok Atoll began. U.S. forces won the battle on February 22, 1944.
1947 - The Voice of America began broadcasting to the Soviet Union.
1964 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that congressional districts within each state had to be approximately equal in population. (Westberry v. Sanders)
1985 - U.S. Postage stamp prices were raised from 20 cents to 22 cents for first class mail.
1992 - In Milwaukee, serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was sentenced to life in prison. In November of 1994, he was beaten to death in prison.
1997 - Pepperdine University announced that Kenneth Starr was leaving the Whitewater probe to take a full-time job at the school. Starr reversed the announcement four days later.
2005 - U.S. President George W. Bush named John Negroponte as the first national intelligence director.
Today's thought: Why not learn to enjoy the little things - there are so many of them.
Coffee's on. I'd make ph00 but Bob hasn't been around all week, and I just heard on the news that the temps got down to the 20's in Florida last night. I doubt he'll even poke his head out from under the covers!
Good morning all y'all, nothing spectacular here weather-wise yet. The weather warning has been updated to say the system will arrive sometime this morning. I am pretty sure that most of this is going north of us on its way east to Scotty-land (Saskatchewan).
Chaikwa, I suspect the new owners would want more than I am willing to pay. Do you really think traffic is going down because of our connection issues or is there something else? It is also possible this is a normal seasonal ebb that I am just too new to be aware of. For websites I have run, I have used Google Analytics to get detailed insight into usage patterns. Who knows, I am just throwing stuff out there, you folks may well be fully aware of what is up. Trust me I am not being critical, I still get what I need around here (personal abuse and excellent technical support for my truck
).
Ok, time for breakfast.

Mornin, folks. How are things?
As far as sight traffic, I've noticed it too...
Hope everyone's valentines day was ok. We're getting ready to pack up and head back across the country, moving to Columbia, SC... good times. Glad to be going back to the south.

MADHAT - glad to see you in the Breakroom. I have seen you around the board a bit since you got back but not in the Breakroom. When I mentioned it last week a couple of folks pointed out to me (very correctly I might add) that you possibly had things to do wit Angie and the boys that were way more important than hanging around with us truck addicted misfits.
Have fun moving to SC. Please stop by a bit, things get unruly around here without discipline. Chaikwa does his best to keep things under control, but ya' know, he IS the problem half the time.

Thanks. Ah, just taking a while to get settled back in to civilization. I didn't think it would be this big of a deal, but guess I was wrong.
Chaikwa can handle things to a point... he'll be fine. I hope I have a good time moving, I enjoyed the cross country trip last time, should be nice this time with no trailer to pull.

Mornin' All!
Haven't poked my head in here in a while. Still smells the same. Must be Chaikwa.
Life in the North is going well. Winter will be over in another couple months. We're most likely past the worst of it. Another cold snap or 2 and another 1-2' of snow and it'll all disappear for a few months.
Just found out I didn't win any special game tags this year in the lottery.
Oh well, I'll just have to spend more time in the woods chasing critters......

Mark when will you be pulling out and when do you think you will or if you will be coming throgh DFW ? It would be an honor to by you and family dinner.
They call it a kitchen, but really NOT a full kitchen. Building an enclosure for a gas grille out of a block that is in harmony with the new pavers going down and it will have a sink in the counter top also, plus a stand up bar behind the grille. Also putting in a matching bench over by the Jacuzzi/hot tub. Then the pavers and recoat the pool. Matching pavers will go on front porch and walkway. Just love spending money. GGGGRRRR Hey, been putting this off for way too long. Also full paint on the outside right now - - about two more days and that will be done. HORRORS - - have you priced paint lately??? I am a contractor but had not noticed the prices - - 42% gain in two years. Try $63/gallon for good exterior paint - - sure glad I get a healthy discount. OUCH. 15 gallons of the finish coat ran just over $700 and that did not include primer, trims, ceilings, caulk, etc etc etc. OUCH. Will be glad to get it done.

Packing and beer drinking... more packing, less beer drinking. Been getting rid of stuff at a cyclic rate!
