Wishing the "storm riders" all the best from down here in Texas!!!!
Hey man, you did good. Appreciated. It is very interesting trying to get around on those stupid sticks under my armpits. Wow, I hate those things. And my butt is sooooo sore from sitting in the wheel chair. Want to go hit the tennis court - - oh that would feel sooooo good

awww soreFiverbobo, is it fun on the lanai thingy with no sun?
we have had white fog for four days now..told my son nuclear disaster/volcano would drive me nuts..don't care about temp, jusy give me sun.
hubby welding on son's jeep, son day off and helping him. I was doing harley seat change, had to buy a T45 torx driver. new vehicle/new tool search.
nice all of us working on things together...
we have steady 30mph winds, cold rain/snow mix. barn boards, house metal roof popping at times at the gusts.
betting on when the mobile home we use for cider making at the base of the property will flip. find out how good the insurance is....

Hahaha... That´s not it, since it´s the employer has called this on us, it´s being done so that you get your union unemploymentcheck when you´re not working, no holiday
On the other hand, this again means that when you´re not working you must be looking for another (fulltime) job.
This gets alot of paperwork going, since the union has to inform the "jobcenter" who then has to inform you what to do and you must reply to that or else....
The 5 weeks vacation is not all BTW, we got one more week but that´s called something else.
Been watching the news this morning, they mostly talk about your bad weather, that looks REALLY bad.
Coffee is on, and since Bob is not very mobile I´ll try to get that phoo thing going for him....
there you go.

Want to go hit the tennis court - - oh that would feel sooooo good - - uhhh, well, I should say it will (I hope) feel good when this heals up. I am very uncomforable and hurting with a foot, ankle and leg that are way too big. Gorgeous out on the lanai - - maybe head out there a sprawl out on a lounge for a while - - that might feel really good. YEH - - sure nice out there.
See ya later,
Bob

Hope all our eastern friends have survived the night with the least damage possible, hopefully none. Stay alert... the storm continues today.
Morning all.
Dentist appointment this morning and jury duty a week from today.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30th:
1735 - John Adams, the second President of the United States, was born in Braintree, MA. His son became the sixth President of the U.S.
1831 - Escaped slave Nat Turner was apprehended in Southampton County, VA, several weeks after leading the bloodiest slave uprising in American history.
1875 - The constitution of Missouri was ratified by popular vote.
1894 - The time clock was patented by Daniel M. Cooper of Rochester, NY.
1938 - Orson Welles' "The War of the Worlds" aired on CBS radio. The belief that the realistic radio dramatization was a live news event about a Martian invasion caused panic among listeners.
1943 - In Moscow, a declaration was signed by the Governments of the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and China called for an early establishment of an international organization to maintain peace and security. The goal was supported on December 1, 1943, at a meeting in Teheran.
1945 - The U.S. government announced the end of shoe rationing.
1961 - The Soviet Union tested a hydrogen bomb with a force of approximately 58 megatons.
1961 - The Soviet Party Congress unanimously approved an order to remove Joseph Stalin's body from Lenin's tomb.
1972 - U.S. President Richard Nixon approved legislation to increase Social Security spending by $5.3 billion.
1972 - In Illinois, 45 people were killed when two trains collided on Chicago's south side.
1975 - The New York Daily News ran the headline "Ford to City: Drop Dead." The headline came a day after U.S. President Gerald R. Ford said he would veto any proposed federal bailout of New York City.
1993 - Martin Fettman, America's first veterinarian in space, performed the world's first animal dissections in space, while aboard the space shuttle Columbia.
1995 - Federalist prevailed over separatists in Quebec in a referendum concerning secession from the federation of Canada.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere.

Morning folks. Just a wild guess, but, Chaikwa are hoping to look like this
when you leave the dentist office.....or this
? Either way some teeth would beat no teeth
. Sorry man, I just couldn't resist it this morning.
How did everyone to the north fair the storm last night? Looks dismal and bleak on the news. Lots of flooding and wind damage. Saw the pics of the 50 burning homes....that's awful to see....wishing everyone the best.
Bob, I was out all last week but it seems you've had some troubles...here's to a speedy recovery
.
Take care today everyone.

Little sleet and a LOT of wind here. Miraculously we've not lost power yet. More than likely due to the fact that I have the generator fueled up, in place and ready to go.
scott, i would pay money to watch you in jury duty....now THAT'S entertainment!
glad you're getting your toofies healthy. keeps the body healthy...
funny stuff jim, and chaikwa looks like the second icon, all the time.
was gonna ask you how was flooding?
flooding down at town/ village level, we have dry basement despite heavy winds/continuous rain, lots of trees down and some snapped up forty feet up.
son took repaired jeep home last night, major roads flooded. he used the dry seasonal roads and several folks followed in a caravan. they were very appreciative, pays to know your environment....risky to have trees/elec lines fall shudder
hope the appalaichin folks are warm and snug, despite the snow.

Prob'ly won't get as far as me actually sitting on a jury. I've been down this road before and they always ask questions to determine if I'd be suitable and impartial. I answer honestly and tell them that as a former LEO I feel they're all guilty or they wouldn't be here in the first place. There are exceptions of course, and I could be fair and impartial, but as a general rule that's how I feel and it takes a lot to change my mind.
tell the attorneys you can easily see both sides and you never commit to one argument or the other...
dismissed within 15 minutes, thank you for your time.
they don't need to know that it takes dynamite to change your mind.lol
friend of mine in nyc says only the brainless will pick through the queens block fires, yet they do it (scrap metal).
and the icons were funny JUSTIN, my bad...not jim. no need to make yer momma mad at me for changing your name
trail cam had a bear passing through. woo
