Been super busy on my week off from work.....hence my non-existent presence around here. Gotta head back in in 3.5 hrs. Had a great time away from work though. Visited MIL down in the good ol Texas hill country.....helped dad add on to his shop, fix air leaks on his Mack....put ball joints, brakes, tie rods on a danged ol Ford....and spent some great time with my family.....all while still making it class on time everyday!!!

Back to the grind for one night and then another 4 days off Guess it's my fault for not taking one more night off for a full 2 week vacation. Still a bunch of stuff to do though....better get my list in order. Glad to be back on DTR!!! Missed tons of stuff last week and still have catching up to do.

Later folks.

That sure sounds like a busy week jhenson. I wasn't that ambitious but I got my to-do list done today. Turkey has been roasted and carved, the carcass is in the soup pot and 600 lbs of Yukon Gold spuds have been boxed and put up for the winter. Oh yeah, I plowed a bunch of snow so the poor old dog doesn't have to hang his bits in the snow in order to do his business. It turns out my barn is plenty big after all now that I have organized it and gotten all the spuds off the floor.
I have a few more jobs to do and then I get to relax and enjoy the fruits of my labor. Actually, it will be the fruits of some Australian winemaker's labor, but the thought is still the same.

vanilla cinnamon coffee(which I thought would be disgusting) is actually pretty good, vendor gave out free samples.....love free.
I'm prepared but for once I'm not in the path of the weather. I will however be keeping a warm thought for the rest of you east coasters.

Is there ANYTHING the media WON'T hype to try to panic the sheeple?
Folks are cleaning off store shelves and buying generators like it's December 20, 2012........

Have a great rest of your weekend.
Of course they want to hype everybody up, it makes for a great spin on domestic spending for the incumbent.

Evening all! Tomorrow will be a little chilly here in GA. The local forecast is for temps in the mid 50's with a sustained wind of 20-30, gusting to 50. Brrrrr.......

Hahaha... That´s not it, since it´s the employer has called this on us, it´s being done so that you get your union unemploymentcheck when you´re not working, no holiday

On the other hand, this again means that when you´re not working you must be looking for another (fulltime) job.
This gets alot of paperwork going, since the union has to inform the "jobcenter" who then has to inform you what to do and you must reply to that or else....

The 5 weeks vacation is not all BTW, we got one more week but that´s called something else.

Been watching the news this morning, they mostly talk about your bad weather, that looks REALLY bad.

Coffee is on, and since Bob is not very mobile I´ll try to get that phoo thing going for him.... there you go.

Morning folks. Georgia had 4500 lose power last night due to Sandy. New Jersey is expecting an 8' storm surge at high tide today. (I wonder what that will do to the Jersey Shore bunch?) New York stock exchange will be closed today, electronic trades only. Sandy is currently 700 miles wide. Y'all stay safe!

Thank you sir! Not bad either... coffee could be a bit stronger, but not bad!

Morning all.

Morning folks. A bit cool here this a.m. Frost on the windshield as I was leaving work today.....supposed to be a very nice afternoon though....upper 60's.

You folks in the northeast stay safe, dry, and warm if any of that's possible. Will be keeping an eye on the weather as Sandy steams toward land.

Gotta get back to my chore list. You guys/gals have a great day. Will check back later this afternoon to see how it's going for the folks in the red zone.

October 29th is too early to be seeing snow flakes on my windshield. I like the winter but not 6 months of it..

Good Day to all!

Wow have I been through some weather this past week. 70 mph wind gusts with heavy rain, dust storms, snow, freezing rain, icy roads wind, wind and more wind. Glad to have a few days off.

See the surgeon tomorrow. Taking my daughter trick or treating tomorrow, carving pumpkins tonight.

Stay safe out east there folks! Mother Nature appears to be speaking out lately with the earthquake on the west coast, storms, wind, snow rain etc etc.
No matter what...she rules.

Hey Scotty, are you back home? If so, you and I are enjoying the same weather systems. One quick question though, how much candy do you expect your daughter to get if you take her trick or treating on Oct 30th (tomorrow), the day BEFORE Halloween?

I know Saskatchewan doesn't do daylight savings time, but do you use a different calendar too?

Hey man, you did good. Appreciated. It is very interesting trying to get around on those stupid sticks under my armpits. Wow, I hate those things. And my butt is sooooo sore from sitting in the wheel chair. Want to go hit the tennis court - - oh that would feel sooooo good - - uhhh, well, I should say it will (I hope) feel good when this heals up. I am very uncomforable and hurting with a foot, ankle and leg that are way too big. Gorgeous out on the lanai - - maybe head out there a sprawl out on a lounge for a while - - that might feel really good. YEH - - sure nice out there.

See ya later,

Bob
