Vrods are pretty sweet bikes. They are the newest in HD technology being liquid cooled. They runs smooth and are very fast. You know they will quickly run you right out of the "beginner" bike category. Very dependable and quite comfy to ride. The only reason they don't sell more of them is due to the fact that a lot of traditional riders like myself have become accustomed to the old Harley sound. I must admit though I would like to have one of them to hot rod the livin' crap out of. I know my Battlecruiser with the 107 will still pull away from them and leave the riders in a state of disbelief, but they will hold their own against most bike. They are very quick. Mid to high 30's for mileage.

I know a guy that has one all hopped up, nos, air shift with a rpm chip, lots of custom stuff on it and it runs solid 9s. They are sweet looking bikes but they are indoor storage type bikes, you have to keep them clean. Seen lots of vrods with oxidized wheels from sitting out at the dealers and ppls homes all day. If you aren't worried about the extra speed i would look for a supeglide or a low-rider. They are comfortable and Sporty for a Harley.

Yeah, the Mad Max! Very stout bike, a true street warrior. I even like how they look! They haven't changed much and are known for poor cornering stability and soft suspension, but are still acceptable compared to others.

The V-Max since it first came out is nothing more than brute power. They are very top heavy and are pretty much just a straight line machine. Plus the fact, that now you are going from economy type bike to and all out street racer (straight line that is) and they are still spendy to buy, and get less mileage than a Harley.
