"Biggest waste of bandwidth for the month" award?

After reading through some of the threads on here,
I propose to the CEO/COO/admins/mods/janitor that we should have "biggest waste of bandwidth for the month" award.

My first nominee would be "Stupid Bread".
And just to show I am not immune from wasting bandwidth, the first runner up would be the "Do you believe in Bigfoot?" poll.

(Following closely behind those will probably be this thread )

You missed the "I want to install a CDT in an American Motors Gremlin" thread.

No one better nominate Hoss and his concrete bedliner idea. I still say we could make that work!

You're just jealous because you're not famous for anything stupid yet.

Heck, that was the first thing I ever posted. Ahh, memories.... Let's revisit that one.

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...threadid=30577

My first words ever typed on this site were "I'm a stupid idiot." (I wasn't planning on sticking around...)

From there on I asked what the dimensions of a Cummins 6BTA were, and I don't remember if that one was ever answered...

The first reply to my query asked whether or not I are goats; I still have absolutely no clue what Wannadiesel meant by that...

I do remember figuring out that with a body lift the engine could fit... The Cummins is actually a really compact engine except for the height of the thing- the engine is less wide and only a few inches longer than the 304 V-8 that Gremlins had in them stock. With a dry-sump system of some kind the I-6 could fit no problem, but I don't know if anybody's ever done that before.

The easy way to do it would be to use a Jeep frame and a Gremlin body (people've put the 6BTA in Jeeps before, and sticking a Gremlin body on top would be no problem), but that would kind of detract from the entire "good handling" idea that I was going for. Does anybody know of a solid-framed compact car with a good sized engine comparment? Or of a way to modify a Jeep suspension into something more rally-able? Hmm, maybe an AMC Eagle if I wanted all wheel drive...

It's doable, but the fact that Gremlins are unibodies makes them less than desirable for such a massive engine. But I'm an AMC fan, so that's the first thing I naturally thought of.

Begle1! I was doing you a favor by NOT mentioning your name or putting you with "Gremlingate", but you stepped right into it! AGAIN!

This is like shooting fish in a barrel! (Geico has to take a potty break from laughing so hard!)

I did all the stupid stuff I'm gonna do (I think) and you'll never know about it!

Sounds like a lot of work and a royal pain in the ****, but it might be fun.
