Jim.obviously you don't grasp the total situation, this is all being done for"the children".Same old deal, create a problem that does not exist, create junk science with which to support the claims, scare the bejazes out of the general populace, and use tax dollars to fund buracratic jobs. Stop cow flatulance "for the children" because it contributes to Global Warming.insert Bronx cheer.

I guess I was right, it was Big Brother watching me and I guess he got paranoid seeing me taking pictures of him.
This story just appeared out of nowhere yesterday.

Doing a bit of research on the company.

Quote:

Participants are offered free smog screenings and evaluations as well as monetary incentives of up to $500 for repairs and $1,000 to scrap the vehicle if they participate in HEROS.

Motorists can then choose to set up appointments to participate in the AQMD's program.

And if you choose not to, all of the gathered information about you will simply be deleted from their database?

When I had my 6.2 Diesel I had gotten 2 friendly letters from the SCAQMD stating my truck was seem emitting smoke and was reported by your fellow citizen, both of them were when I was pulling a decent grade on the freeway.

Wonder if that "repair" money could be used for bombs? Too much smoke MUST indicate bad injectors. Some new EDMs might be in order.

I was thinking about building an exhaust like the old Shelby's that would exit in the center below the license plate, you could easily obscure the plate with a cloud of smoke.
