Bad news/Good news/Sad news
Bad news On Sunday afternoon My Dad had a stroke.
Good news he is doing great. No paralysis or any other side effects. He is coming home.
Sad news this morning on of our 17 year old Whippets, Ch. Wildcards Diamonds and Pearls passed away in my arms. She was a big part of our lives. I'll always have fond and fun memories of her. She is greatly missed. Even with numerous other Whippets in the house it feels empty.

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
Happy for your dad but very sorry for your loss.
R.I.P Ch. Wildcards Diamonds and Pearls (I love that name!!)
It is never easy. I lost 3 within 13 months. The last one was less than a year now and even though we have 5 others running around the house, I would give anything to have the other 3 back right now!

Thanks guys.
Pearl-E-Q had a long, full life. Her mother lived to be 20. We got her as a pup. I will always have lots of funny and fond memories of her antics. She was our little engineer. She would dig a hole in the yard and lay in ti to cool off. If you patted your chest she would jump up into your arms and give you a kiss.
Dad is a old, stubborn, tough Pa. Dutchman. About 1 month or so ago he asked me to trim some trees at the cemetary that were hanging so low they were on the tombstones. There was a broken branch in a "Y". I was cutting branches on an oppisite side of the tree. Next thing I see out of the corner of my eyes is Dad running and a branch coming down. He trips and falls. I go to make sure he is OK. He say yea I'm fine. He has a small road rash on his forehead. Mom asks what happened. I tell her he wouldn't listen and stay out of the so I popped him and that is the fastest I ever saw him run. He slpas me on the back and says I guess you didn't figure this old man could move that fast. We got a laugh out of that. Keith

Prayers sent your way Keith on a speedy recovery for your Father, sounds like a tough Old Bird and I am happy you still have him around
My condolences on the loss of your Puppy, wow she sure sounded like a real hoot, a good dog can sure become a very BIG part of the family.
I hope you just got all the bad stuff out of the way so the rest of 2011 can be a GREAT year for you and your family

Thanks for your prayers and support.
Dad is a tough old Bird. I take off from work to take him to his Dr. appointments and he keeps chewing my Butt out for taking the time off. I keep telling him just freaking humor me, shut up, get in the car and stop your Darn whining.
Pearl wouldn't just dig a hole it was more like a small trench. Every time I would cut the grass I needed to take a shovel along to backfill her trench. She would go out and dig it back open. Loosing battle between me and her. It was funny to watch her. She would look up at the window and Just by her expression I could tell what she was thinking. Dad what in the **** are you doing filling in my trench?

Thanks for the prayers and support.
I just got off the phone with Dad. He is home and doing great. No paralysis or problems with his speech other than his Pa. Dutch accent.
It was strange walking into the house last night and tonite and not having Pearl-E-Q doing her roo roo roos.
