Colorado DOT website says you can use these during chain up restrictions instead of chains.
Has anyone tested the autosock.com on your dodge or passenger vehicle on
snow or ice.
Tirerack.com has them for $85 for my truck.

I've been in Colorado for 30 years. Nobody here ever chains up except big rigs. I think I have about 5 sets of chains in my garage that have only been on in my driveway! That's what I get for growing up in California. These things would probably be ok for a short run to get you past the CHP on 80 going up to Tahoe but good tires and 4wd would too.
