Auto Theft

I watched the news tonight and the list of most stolen autos was shown. Well the Caddy Escalade was number one. Yet it comes with a factory alarm and immoblizer. So how do they get stolen??
What can you do to curtail this? Just wondering??

Marine Sharpshooter badging...
Fuel Shot-Off Switch...
Rifle Rack in rear-viewed window...
A Big Dog...
Parking in a fenced in area...

I'm actually a pretty big fan of a fuel shot-off. Hide it under the dash even... Who'd think to check?

Should also add, claymores on the approach, and boobytraps at the beginning of the drive.

escalade dealer here had three disapear off the lot early summer.....just so happens it was the three that were "test driven" by a few folks the evening before. turns out they kept the real keys to the rides and palmed off some dupes to the dealer. when the place closed down the walked into the lot used the keys and drove away with brand new rides. scary part is that the onstar subscriptions don't get turned on untill after a buyer buys the trucks so these hoods got away clean..... sukt to be the dealer. other easy disable is a remote battery disconnect somewhere under the seat would work good, open the door with the key, reach under the seat while sitting down and a few turns to the switch and you have all power back. course it takes a bit of wiring......
