Anyone got a Remington 7400?
I had one for @16 years and shot it so much the rifling finally got smoothed out! Had a 10 round clip for it,( no limit on Does in Missouri as long as you got tags.) It was great gun but had a chance to trade it for a new shotgun and a varmint rifle. You will not be disappointed with it.
I have 2 742s, the predecessor to the 7400s, and it is a darn good shooting gun. One is a .308(the one I use most) and one is a .30-06(one that was given to me that needs some work done to it). I love it, shoots great, accurate, and simple.
Here you go, check out this article on the 7400s: http://www.chuckhawks.com/rem_7400_carbine.htm
Like it says, the stock trigger pull is kinda long, get at little bit of work done to it. My .308's trigger was worked on by a gunsmith before I got it, and shoots VERY nicely.

The 7400's seem to be a descent rifle. Only issue I know of is the plastic dust cover seems to crack on the bolt after some use.
I almost bought one early this year as a cheap throw down hunting rifle but it didn't fit me very well, so I ended up buying a Mossberg ATR bolt action.
