Question Remington 11-87 Port o-ring

need new o-ring. does anyone have a tip on the actual size or somewhere that I can locate some.

I thought that these would not be special o-rings...except material.

cheapest I have foound is $10 each!

Any ideas

TIA - JKE

That price sounds about right on them. If you were to order them from a Gun parts supplier and then pay the shipping, add the mark up for supplier, you would be near that anyway.

Seems like you could drop them in an envelope for .35 cents, but it is seldom done that way.

Thanks Top.

From what I can tell they are 5/64 width & 1.00" ID.

I have some of our suppliers checking for me, but nothing yet.

I guess the light 20 1100 will be the same deal ...

Maybe they really do have the market cornered on these things.

Thanks again - JKE

If it can wait 'till the first of the week, I'll bet I can find out, and see if I have any.

I'm leaving in a few minutes, and won't be back 'till Sunday.

We have many o-rings at the store (farm equipment), and I'll bet I can match someting up.

Thanks sig6.

It can wait. Getting ready for dove season. O-ring is getting a little stiff. If a no go, the B-80 will knock'em down no problem.

It needs to be a high temperature material.

AHH HAH! Old timer informed me of a local gun smith and his number. The man keeps them in stock at $8 each and the other size for the light 20 at $8 each. I will get one of these tomorrow.

Sig6 - If it is no trouble, I would still like to know what you find

Can you use just "any old o ring" for that? Or does it have to be reistant to stuff? Like your cleaning chemicals. Maybe thats why its so expensive? Come to think if it I should be checking my peices now

I used to buy lots of o-rings for industrial use from a company called Crown Products Inc. I don't know if they are just in Texas or if they are a national company but any o-ring company can probably provide you with the correct size for just a few cents. Take the o-ring in and they will match it. They have o-rings that are heat and/or chemical resistant and varying degrees of hardness.

Thanks men. That is what I was hoping for. A supplier that could provide one at a reasonable cost. I know o-rings are used in far worse conditions than this...or maybe not....$8 for 1 o-ring, I don't understand. Oh well, pay to play.

I'll probably hunt with the B-80 anyway . Smooth weapon.

Can't wait for season to open.... - JKE

Brownells is one of my personal favorite places to spend my money. You might also add Gun Parts Corp. to your favorites. I think their site is www.e-gunparts.com. Jack First is another one I have found parts for decent prices. Not sure if Jack First has a website or not. They are out of Rapid City, SD if I remember correctly. -Steve
