Anyone ever pull a stump???
One of the mini-trackhoes is also good for stumps. And they can fit on smaller spaces than a backhoe. Plus they are small enough to rent and pull with our trucks without breaking anything. A full-size backhoe is a bit much for a SRW anything to yank around (although I do haul a 10K# tractor on a 4500# trailer with mine).........
What I started with after the brush was pullued away.....

Had to get a 5 foot run on most of 'em in 4lo 2nd gear....figured either the truck would break or the stump would come out. Sorry, no pics during removal as I was by myself.
I stand 6'1''-ish for reference to the size of the roots. We are standing uphill of the stumps.
The truck pulled 'em, but I had the rear tires almost a foot off the ground a couple times, I was hittin the chain that hard

Nice picts! Success!
Reminds me of a molar I had pulled once except that instead of the dentist getting a running start, he twisted and ripped it out.
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!

I have had best success by using some of the brush cut from the tree piled back around the stump, and bon-fireing it! It may burn all night, but will remove the stump below ground level without wrecking an expensive vehicle!
Havent pulled stumps out with the truck, BUT have pushed down 15ft tall peach trees with a Case 5250. It seems like it was almost designed for that, lol 1500lb weights up front just knocked those trees down really quick.
