No I didn't even know about it, maybe next time. The line of trucks I was in barely slowed down

Yes, the weather does stink! He in NH we are having our 3rd snow storm this April ... a N'or Easter this time. I got the bath tub filled with water so I can flush the toliets when the power goes out when the limbs of the old pines come crashing down from the cement like snow on them.
My buddy in Tennessee keeps asking when I'm going to move down there ... it may be sooner then he thinks.

We had a sunny, warm weekend in Marquette. The ice pack on the lake was breaking up and looked very nice in the water. We took a drive along the shore and ran the dogs around.

Just a little clitch in the normal weather pattern, Unusual weather is some areas. Like AKPaul says it is an over all warming trend, the permafrost retreating. The NortWest Passage is open more and more as time goes on. The glaciers are retreating.
If you look back to the 1500's or so, the Vikings lived in Greenland, farmed and fished, but the world cooled down and the ice took over.
Best way to fined the weather, is OPEN THE DOOR AND THERE IT IS. and that is what you get.

We have 18" of snow on the ground now,not including the 20" we had last week(5-6th) and they are calling for up to 18" tonight thru tomorrow.

Which i would ratehr have then it be warm and 4"-5" of rain.

Weather only exists, so that people with nothing better behind them, can have something to complain about.

That being said, I am not a big fan of weather in general. The wind never stops, the cold never goes away, if it does, it gets too warm, and working when it is raining, and/or snowing, that isn't good either.

I can handle sunny/cloudy days, not a big deal, but precip makes my job 'special'. And like someone mentioned earlier, the wind really takes it out of you. Wind hasn't totally stopped here in about 3 years now, and it gets old.

But, if all I have to honk off about is the weather. Good, bad or downright depressing. I think I'm in a reasonably good position in life, compared to a lot of other people.

In the words of a Monty Python song. " Always look at the bright side of life "

Now that we have a really annoying song stuck in our heads, much like an icepick.... Have a Nice Day

LOL Virginian Hotel...It was a old cat house and bar during the cattle drive days, the rooms up stairs were where you bought the company of said women, now its rooms are for rent like a hotel...I haven't been there in years, but the bar back then had names engraved in it...Don't quote me but names like Wild Bill, Doc Holiday and the such. They served some good grub. When I drove truck I didn't care for most big truck stops so after I fueled I would head over to Medicine Bowl for a nice peaceful place to park and dinner/breakfast.

It's really getting cold here too in Southern California, last night it got down to a miserable 60* and today it barely hit 80*.
We got a lot of wind and some rain though from this new storm.
If it wasn't for this weather I would like to get out of here.
The people here are wack.

So it's just the normal cycle of Mother Earth doing it's thing.
We gotta do something about all these Volcano's polluting more in one eruption than we have put out combined. Maybe we could fit them with a particulate filter?

Well, the snow stopped and switched to rain. That is the good news. The wind also came with the rain. There are trees on top of cars and houses. The power went out at 3pm and I do not expect it to be back on before tommorow sometime. Glad I got a generator.
