Anyone else get sick this week...?

I have to admit I typically get "sick" (More than a head cold - something inducing a fever) about once per year. Well I sure wasn't expecting to fall into a full-blown fever last night after church. I got home around 9:45 and it had simply taken hold...hot sweats, cold chills, all night long. First day i've stayed home from work in a while.

I was thinking it would turn out to be a stomach flu - but it hasen't. Seems better now, 10 hours of tossing & turing sleep last night, about 3 more hours of good sleep in the middle of the day, still a bit weak overall but at least I think it's mostly over now. Couple of others here in Illinois indicated they had a similar episode in the past two weeks. Anyone else have this...I hope no one catches it.

A lot of that going around. My wife had it Sunday also. She was OK by Monday morning, but still too weak to go to work. It sure was peaceful around here for awhile.

I have been having bad migraines for the past week or so, probably going to go to a doctor if they keep up.

But thats not the same kind of sick you are talking about.

My girlfriend told me she was sick, she has been running a temp, and her throat started to close up, and she could barely talk. Seemed she was ok today, as she was talking to me on the phone for awhile earlier

Dang, as soon as I hit submit, she called

I usually get sick once a year like you are talking about. So far this year I haven’t had that problem but I know it is coming. Thanks for reminding me……

I would rather go on and get it out of the way.

Oh yeah, I got it last Thursday night with the fever, sweating, chills, etc. It got up to 103 on top of 2 days worth of max dosage so I was in the ER friday night. It was strep with a bad fever.

I'm not sure what it was, but it was over farily quickly. Once I took my temperature and it was lower than normal. So go figure. Guess it was a way to slow me down for a bit. Understand from a co-worker it's going around all over the country - a fever and light sore throat, achey all over, but nothing really wrong. All gone in about 36 hours. Hmmm.. I'll leave it next time.

Has there been any flooding in your area? I noticed the mold in the air is giving my lungs fits but I'm allergic to mold.

I had the chills today and felt like doo doo...

Dunno if its the lower dose of codeine I'm taking and my body needs to adjust, or if I'm getting sick...

Slept from 6 till around 9 and woke up soaking wet...

Codeine is an opiate so it's possible you're dope sick. Should only last a few days though.

Yeah, I know its an opiate...

I'm going from 60mg to 30mg a day...

I'm guessing its withdrawal...

Trying to taking the smallest possible dose to keep my back and wrist in check so I can function...
