Angry Here we go again. Anyone else sick of DST?

Why can't they leave the clock alone? DST starts this next weekend so we get to "save" that hour of daylight and in the process, screw up everyone's sleep/wake cycle. If DST is so great, why not use it year 'round? If it's not worth using year 'round, why subject us to it for 8 months? I have a hard enough time running a "normal" schedule without Congress messing with my clock.

I quit changing, just leave my clocks on standard time.

Just plain stupid.

They claim it is energy saving. Personally, I hate the change, and I wish they would do away with. I'll bet that if everyone got to vote on it, it would lose in a landslide.

We don't have DST here in Saskatchewan. The government tried to implement it a couple of times and since we're a rural economy, the farmers complained that the extra hour of daylight would burn the crops!!!!

I hate it, totally messes with your cicadian cycle. It just sucks, there is a petition online somewhere to end DST, but i don't remember the address.

I prefer the extra daylight in the evenings after work and I wish it was that way all year long.

Let me be clear, I hate the change. I don't care if it ends up an hour ahead of standard time or not. Just do away with goin' back and forth.

It's really a pain for me here at work. My call manager servers are running an old software version and can't take the patch for the DST fix without jumping thru a bunch of hoops. (I'm working on replacemnts right now).

I have to create these silly time zone groups to dunk 2000 phones into so the time shows right on everyones desk.

Exactly!!! What is a specific time anyway except for a number assigned to a portion of a 24 hour day? Just pick a time and stick with it for crying out loud.

Don't worry about it. It'll fix itself in 3 weeks.

Here in Fort St John B.C we dont change are clocks we stay on the same time all year round, Dawson Creek and Chetwynd B.C dont change either. It has something to do with the farming. So in the sumer where the same time as the rest of B.C and in the winter we are an hour ahead like Alberta.

Nick.
